Crimsonwood Badge Exchange Results~

Had all the badges already from CWKPQ, spent ~15-20 minutes for the Hearts to trade. Got a Crimson Arcanon, average in all stats.

I dont like the fact that crimson hearts are involved in the exchange...

 

Did just 1 run, got a Crimson Arclancer

And Crimsonhearts can be bought, 45 for roughly 1.5mil. It's probably better value to just purchase unless you can kill crim's really fast.

 

Majority of badges collected in castle since there is a more reliable safe spot to leech. Caves are more time efficient I think

 

I only did 2 runs for 5mil each

 

Done x runs so far. Average time to gather materials is about 2hrs per raffle...

Some additional notes:

• Badge farming done in Cavern of Fear and Cavern of Valor (note the skull torch at the left connects the two maps) using my bishop (can only 1-hit Nightshadows ~40% of the time); then finish off remaining badges at Inner Sanctum/Lower ascent
• Firebrands have the highest badge droprate thanks to two bodies
• Windraider badge droprate is shit even at lower ascent (this is usually the time limiting part of the farm); I hope this gets buffed to be more inline with other mobs
• Hearts farmed using my bucc; takes about 10-15 min to farm 45

I hope the rate of WS is higher in this raffle than a rare gach since 2hrs can be spent a lot more efficiently farming something else...

Just did my fifth run. Gonna re-iterate: windraider badge droprate is utter dogshit. Takes twice as long as stormbreakers despite having double the spawn rate of any other mob.

 

Raffle 2: 5m. Time: 40 minutes. WR badges were legit terrible, even on Lower Ascent (30 WR badges took like 80% of the time).

Crimson Hearts being tradeable makes them fine. I also like that Crimson Guardians are element resistant, so it doesn't make Mages inherently absurd at badge farming (one of these mobs is immune to Fire, Ice, or Holy, and Crimson Guardians resist Fire, Ice, Poison, and Lightning, so it requires a bit of a workaround, mesos, or a non-mage attacker to get those).

Also, please get rid of Subani Ankh in the raffle rewards, make it a useable scroll for something like MoN, Crimson weapons, or even the Flamekeeper Cordon for extra stats, or just introduce iTCG forging so it immediately has some value (as it's one of the pieces required to craft the Stormcaster Glove manual).

 

By normal badge exchange value you're taking into account the 25x badges 3.5m reward?

 

Yeah so that value is the amount of mesos I could have gained with that amount of exchange materials.

11 exchanges requires 495x4 badges and 495 hearts which equal 2475 total drops. I could have potentially gained 84m if I used those drops for the guaranteed 3.5m exchange 24 times

 

Imho this new exchange is worse than the original

 

I'm sure on average, the value of this is higher than the other exchange, but hardly anyone is ever gonna get that value since it's weighted so heavily on getting a WS (probably a super low rate). Only great for people who plan on doing this a few hundred times.

Sounds like ultimately this exchange is not worth for most people.
