    Polearms, especially purple surfboards, have niches will grinding monsters but yeah they could probably use a bit of love with axes and maces

    have they not considered my recommendations? I know it's a whole new overhaul of the current setup and even that one is far gone with original class skills

    Some ideas for change:

    Dragon Blood:
    Original concept was to 'sacrifice for a damage boost'.
    Suggested change: an initial HP% cost to sacrifice, then heals more HP% back over time.
    (e.g. at max level, costs 50% HP to cast, and heals 5% every 4 seconds for 120 seconds.)
    (preserves the risk involved with HP management, while enabling the 4th class meta berserk.)

    Passive Berserk:
    Keep the V2 berserk formula (but cap it out at 100%).
    (preserves the old school maple intention, no added benefits when lower than 50%.)
    Active Berserk:
    Use the V1 berserk formula (and push the cap to 120%).
    (this enables and forces the higher risk and reward game play, player's intentional choice to use.)

    Aura of Beholder:
    Used to heal for 500 every 4 seconds (at max level).
    Old school maple, a Drk without wash had about 10k HP at 180 > about 5% every 4 seconds.
    New meta involves washing characters / hp challenge, so this should be scaled too.
    Suggested rework: improve defence (same idea as achilles), instead of arbitrary damage reflect.
    (Increase Drk's defence (%) makes its HP more valuable, a bit more comfortable to use Berserk.)
    (Can also consider Iron Will rework for similar effects.)

    - Increase damage on polearms
    - Make zerk more comfortable to use 75% hp sounds alright
    - Stack dragon blood as an attack buff just like rage would
    - Balance this damage out with testing so it's not too OP
    - Active zerk no HP loss just longer cooldown.

    OH yeah I forgot to mention take your time with it no rush.

    Some new ideas on DrK balance, based on community sentiments:

    Dragon Blood:
    Keep the original idea of -HP over time and +damage.
    • -1% HP / 4 seconds.
    • +3% STR for its duration
    • 3rd job friendly, but harder and costly to upkeep with berserk.
    • Stacks with ATK buffs, not overly strong.
    • Can be tuned for DPM balance

    Aura of Beholder:
    Passive damage reduction (like achilles or meso guard)
    • Passive because attention is on HP constantly to maintain berserk.
    • Meso cost for potions and ease of use of berserk is what matters for this class.
    • Comfortable HP range for Berserk should be around 20-50% HP.
    • Aura is generally skilled late.

    Berserk:
    Passive:
    • V2 formula from 50-100% HP (a good QoL).
    • Fixed +100% damage from 0-50% HP.
    • Old school berserk feel.
    Active:
    • V1 formula.
    • Max damage of 120% at 20% HP.
    • Allows competitive DrK to play brinkmanship style (with damage reduction).
    • Freedom of control of HP (can choose to heal full if needed at any time).
    • Avoids issues with 1/1 mechanic (el nath cold, brief lag, pets not using pots right).
    • Reliable. Not stressful but careful.

    A healthy community will involve cooperation of classes, at every level range. Mules that are in place of organic DrK interested players is not healthy. It's important to make the class appealing as attackers, while also considering the difficulty that's unique to berserk. Recommendations are made based on the voices of this community.

    actually all of these make dk farm more viable against stronger mobs, which opens up new maps—but the creativity is nice ^__^
