Hito Presents: The Legendary Lottery

Hello everyone~

I have decided to manage and set-up a weekly lottery for MapleLegends where all mesos for entry goes to the winner(s) (depending on popularity I may make more prize tiers!)

How Does TLL Work?

For now, I will use my store in CH1 FM5 to host the event, but if it becomes popular enough I shall make a dedicated character and store location so it's in a constant place.

The lottery will run as follows:

• Entrants can buy "tickets" (arrows) from my store.
• I will re-stock the store every 24 hours when I re-make it.
• Each ticket = one entry. Your purchase place depends on when you bought arrows.
• At the end of the week I will record myself typing @time and then !roll <number of arrows sold> and the winner is the person who bought that number arrow!
• I'll fraps myself doing the !roll and I encourage you to leave messages in the store as proof of the current time of the !roll

How much does this cost, and what are the winnings?

Depending on popularity I will either set up a winner-takes-all or tiered system. For now, winner takes all!

• "Tickets" (arrows) cost 100,000 mesos each.
• Lottery lasts one week.
• Winner takes all mesos from ticket sales.
• Results logged in public record.
• Smegas for winners so they know.

Okay, but can you give me an example?

Sure! Let's say I just set up the store, like 5 seconds ago, and you buy 100 arrows from the store. Well, you're numbers 1 to 100. Now you come back later in the week and buy 100 more, but this time you're buying arrows 631 to 731 (because 631 arrows have been sold before you at this point) so now you have both numbers from 1 to 100 and 631 and 731. At the end of the week 900 arrows were sold. I type !roll 900, and the winning number is 652. You've just won all the mesos from 900 arrow sales!!!!



Probable FAQs

What if you are just doing this to scam us?

I'm doing this on my main which I have donated quite a fair amount of money on, so by all means screenshot transactions and get GMs to hound me because I am not into scamming or being banned. This is purely to run some fun and exciting prize-winning!

That sounds hard to manage, how can you do it?

Stores tell you who bought your product and how much so I can easily see who is what number.

But stores close every 24 hours, how will you track all of this and how do we know you won't lie?

I don't want to get banned for scamming, and I'm not really into being a douche bag. I have a public spreadsheet of all entrants I will back up with screenshots of the store when I remake it every 24 hours. I'm also doing accounting at university, so this gives me a bit of a tingle
