What makes the two classes so op is shifter but reducing shifter proc % seems boring. Make shifter only proc for magic attacks but not work against physical attacks. This forces nightlords and shadowers to counter-play mechanics like verga lazer, HT slam, PB big bang. But they can still have the comfort against the other not so dangerous attacks. It should help with sed mule muling, and not make nightlords just press a button and snooze on their keyboard. Touch damage won't be shifter-able either. They have dark sight for that . Plus there are game mechanics that already work for magic or only for physical damage like dark knight's elemental resistance and bishop's invincible.
