Welcome back! It's so serendipitous that you came back during the patch where HP challenges became fully accessible. The biggest change is that that's available now if you decide you don't want to HP wash.

A ton has changed, a couple of differences that come to mind real quick are:

Much more players,

Gachapon can’t be bought from the Cash Shop,

Summoning Sacks removed,

HP washing alternative,

Skill changes,

Prestigious coin system (100 coins + 10 mill mesos = a Chaos Scroll/White Scroll, rewarded from bosses),

Monster Book + Ring (5 cards = 1 set, every 30 sets is an upgrade to a ring which gives all stats + HP and MP, up to 10 tiers),

Some new PQs + some PQ items have been buffed,

New areas + the gear that comes with that (Neo Tokyo, Ulu City, World Tour stuff, Ellin Forest and Taipei 101 + more probably I’m missing),

Ellinia + orbis travel destinations are free,

Desert coin which you can buy from Manji after completing the Ariant questline it gives you access to a portal between Perion and Ariant,

Temple of Time (Pink Bean) + gear that comes with that

and probably a good amount more I’m missing lol.
