Accepted Remove dash from assassinate

I still get heaps of random dash procs, very annoying. Should make it not proc by default unless pressing left/right...

 

Yea the dash is very useful when used correctly, just sucks that it procs when you don't want it to.

 

The dash is very usefull in situations , I don't want to see it removed.
If it's possible I'd love to see it being changed to what has already been mentioned in this threat. Activate the dash only when useing the left / right key.

It depends on the situation but usually when you have SE it's very much worth dashing. You'll probably use more pots because of tanking touch damage so kinda need to weigh if you should go for it or not.

 

I use the dash alot in bosses that either knock me back, or i knock them back. It's just more smooth than useing assaulter imo.

 

Is it possible to create two versions of the skill? I'd be willing to buy SP resets to take off points off the Assassinate w/ Dash into the Assassinate w/o Dash. Maybe as someone else put it, have an option to toggle the Dash. I just don't think the Dash part of the skill is that situationally good. Sorbet already admitted that you end up taking more touch damage trying to use the Dash for damage. Just compensate with a slight buff to the Assassinate damage. If the Dash is too instrumental to gameplay (which I highly doubt it is), then move the Dash into Steal or Ninja Ambush(Shad only) (essentially turning it into a non-KB rush) or give Shadowers a 150% movement speed buff for 2sec after using assassinate.

 

Have you tried using boomerang step/savage blow macro? It's not too bad of an alternative.
