What's up it's ya boi Dami. He back from break and we gonna start a Pokémon journal together.

Spoiler: The beginning

Today I will create a new type of Journal. My personal Pokémon journal. Since about September last year I started collecting Pokémon cards again.
I’m not sure why. I suddenly felt the urge to buy a Pokémon pack and open it. To get the nostalgic feeling of opening a pack.


So I went to the store and they even had a deal. Buy 2 packs get 1 free. So I bought 3 packs of the Sword and Shield set Fusion Strike (Later I found out one of the shittiest set of this generation)
I got jack shit in the packs. I went with my colleague who also bought 3 packs. He did get a good hit.


He got a Rainbow Shauna Trainer Card.



It’s a ‘Secret Rare’ classification

Yes, I was jealous. We bought 6 packs and if I remember correctly he let me choose the packs.

I picked wrong.

But that day the fire within started again and I wanted to open more and more packs.

But what do I buy? So many cards nowadays. So I did some investigation, watched lots of unpack videos. Learned many tricks etc.


And here we are now. It’s been about 9 months since that day and this is the current status.

Im back with the second entry.

Spoiler: The first venue

A few months ago I went to my first Pokémon convention. Before this I just bought Pokémon boxes that I liked and opened them. Now I had a chance to buy single cards and even graded cards.

I never went to one before so I didn’t know what to expect.

It was

VERY

busy. I arrived just before opening time and they were already letting people in. It was quite hard to look at the cards

Spoiler: Venue #2 we rollin baby

3ish weeks ago I went to my second Pokémon convention. I went to the same one. They stated they improved some things and rented more rooms (4 instead of 2) so it should be less crowded and walking should be easier. Well I arrived 15 minutes early and this was the line

A little bit later the line behind me increased a lot



Up to the gas station. So I arrived on a decent time it seems.

Doors went open and I got in around 11:30 AM.

And then to my surprise there were not a lot of people inside. It was not crowded and could take a good look at the cards inside. My gf went with me this time (for fun she doesn’t collect cards) and brought the baby. She was able to walk normally so that was nice.

Was due to people parking wrong.

This time at the venue I wanted to buy some old single cards. I got these:



And a few to the right as well they are in one of the binder pics go look for em.

There were also these nice balls;



My gf bought 2 of them for me. They were quite expensive not gonna lie.

I decided that I want to buy at least 1 graded card every time I visit a venue. This time I bought this 1st edition jungle Pikachu



It was listed for 50euro I got it for 45.

I am the master negiotator.

I also bought a Lost Origin Booster box and the Miraidon ETB from Scarlet and Violet but no pic of that. Also not from the hits.

I promise I will be better next journal.

Spend at second venue: 325 euro
Total spend since keeping track: 550 euro.

Entry #4 we rolling

Spoiler: The very first buy. Scam?

I’m having my holiday right now. So I might spend a little bit more money on the Pokémon cards than usual.

One issue that I had was that I was only able to buy single cards at venues. I don’t go there often. So I asked around what other people used to get single cards and lots of people recommended the website cardmarket.

So I read a little bit about the website and how it works and made my first order.

I wanted the Suicune V from Crown Zenith so I searched for that one. Found one and ordered it.

The same seller also had some other cards from Crown Zenith I still needed so in total I ordered 7 cards.

Now of course I hope I didn’t got scam. But the package arrived!



And the cards I ordered were inside. In the state it was advertised and good packaging.





Amazing.
