Returning to ML - 30k HP NL + Meso Making Journal

Background Information

So I'm an older player that played for about half a year back in 2018. A little bit before the anniversary event happened this year, I had the urge to play MapleLegends after a 5 year hiatus.

Since then, I've gotten up-to-date on the server's economy and how the metagame has significantly shifted largely in part due to multi-voting in my opinion.

So, I came back and decided that I would try to adapt to the current state of the server and see how far I can go.

This journal won't have daily or even weekly updates, but rather will be a spur of the moment update type thing. I think maybe monthly updates could be best, but I'm not sure to be honest.

Current Situation

Upon returning to ML 3 months ago, I really just wanted to make an attacker. However, I didn't want that attacker to be suboptimal so I decided to just make it a meme 30k HP NL using Krythan's guide to a 30k HP NL which I'll follow once I build up enough NX.

While waiting for myself to build up NX, I decided to start making mesos to fund the eventual NL. Before quitting, I had a level 182 I/L and I decided that I'd use that to fund my attacker.

However after looking at the potential earnings, I decided to also create a F/P that will eventually be used to sell 5-6 leech alongside the I/L. Since then, I've leveled up my I/L to 196 and my F/P to 160.

While not completely ideal, I've been selling leech on both the I/L and the F/P at the same time with the I/L at Petris and the F/P at Ulu 2. My F/P is approaching 1-Hit Petris level so I do want to investigate if there's any possible way that I could sell Petris on 2 chars at once, but my gut is telling me that I won't be able to handle the amount of movement for both.

I also created a hero that will just be doing random bossing content for a change of pace while I wait for NX on the NL. This hero will use budget gear for everything that it isn't sharing with the NL mainly because a hero's base damage is quite decent from skills alone and having amazing gear doesn't change the output of the class too much.

Lastly, I made a guild for god knows what reason with some friends that I made upon my return. We're doing okayish I think and hope to eventually not suck! Duds is the name of the guild due to the name just sounding generally stupid.

Long-term Goals (2 Years+)

• Get Hero to the point where it can clear bosses for fun

Journaling Entries Information

So currently, I won't be doing anything extremely interesting with this journal. For now, it'll just contain how much mesos I've made from leeching directly. That means gach, taxes, potion costs, mesos from the ground, or anything else isn't included. Hours will not be tracked either mainly because I can't be assed to do any of those things and would rather just add up the numbers that leechers have to pay me at the end of a leech session and call it a day.

Below will be the amount of money I've made selling Petris and Ulu 2 for the past month and a little bit or so. Once again, this only tracks money that leechers have given me without factoring in tax or anything else. I didn't track how much I made originally when I first started selling leech and instead decided to do it a month into selling.

I would also say that Ulu 2 in particular gives a lot more money than what it looks like on my spreadsheet simply because of the amount of raw meso gain with a MU mule + NPCing equips + selling power elixirs.

Entry Number #2

Well another month of playing ML was completed and I won't be playing for the rest of the week so might as well do a quick journal update!

First of all, the leech profits generated this month of September.

Moving forward, I leveled up to 198 on my I/L archmage meaning I'm that much closer to becoming an Echo mule!


Next, let's look at the current project I'm working on. I purchased a 8/5 yellow marker for ~2k coins and am currently stockpiling coins to WS+10% the glove. I currently have around 1.8k coins and will full send the scrolls once I get to 3k coins.



Lastly, I've started the process of creating a multi-shad farm! Now, I'm not exactly sure how I'll be utilizing it, but it's something I'm interested in exploring.

 

It's only because of your journal that I can be inspired. The willpower to force themselves to investigate meso-making on a NL is tougher than anything I do.

 

Yep, I'm level 199 now, but won't make a journal entry until the end of the month!

Entry Number #3

Hooray, my journal is finally actually starting to go somewhere! My journal updates are usually sparse because I really don't do too much in-game, but we are slowly but surely progressing.

First, as always here is my income table for October. I've been pretty lazy and haven't really been selling leech as much as I could, but oh well. I'd rather keep going slowly and surely instead of burning out and never playing the game ever again.

In the meantime, I've basically gotten to 200 on my I/L and I'll decide on when to have my level 200 party soonTM.



Now, everyone might be wondering what the progress on the glove is? Well, the glove didn't make any progress and I actually spent all my money on the following 17 att PGC from Celo. But now, we are back to the glove grind!



The shadowers have stalled out for a bit, but with the bonus Halloween event exp, I'll resume leveling up those bad boys. I also got them some tricked out NX outfits from the last event so they won't be ugly.



My guild ran a guild event that was quite fun which I've detailed below for people that are interested in hearing about it although it's not really relevant to this journal.

Spoiler: Sleepywood Survival Run

The rules were simple. 5 Jr Masters created fresh level 10 beginners that had minimal HP and did not advance. People were drawn into teams of 2 and the concept was a race to escort the level 10 beginner to get to the Jr. Balrog map without dying (every single team had their beginner die at least once time). Map-wide ultimate skills as well as Door/Res wasn't allowed! Luckily, every team was able to eventually finish although it took some cheating for the last place team (had to use Res once as the other 4 teams were all done).

HUGE SHOUTOUT to IGN: Apricorn for providing the prizes for the event (200 total Gachapon pulls for all 5 teams).



The gacha distribution was below:

First place: 35 gachas each
Second place: 25 gachas each
Third place: 18 gachas each
Fourth place: 12 gachas each
Fifth place: 10 gachas each
