How to create a Warrior with 30,000 HP.

    Intro

Our goal is to create a warrior that can reach 30,000 HP and 2,000 MP by level 180. These instructions apply to Paladins, Heroes, and Dark Knights.

We'll be using HP Washing to create additional HP. This will require around ~330 HP Washes, and cost 1,200,000 NX (~200 days of voting) over the course of 180 levels.

    [IMG] 1. What is Washing?

Washing is the process of using AP Resets from the NX Cash Shop to create more HP and/or MP. Washing is not an exploit, but rather a feature (or perhaps, a side effect) of the mechanics introduced by the original developers of the game.

There are many ways that players can utilize the washing mechanics to make their character stronger. Every class has a different strategy. As a warrior, you’ll be using HP Washing, also known as Fresh HP Washing.

It is strongly recommended for warriors to utilize these mechanics in order to reach the maximum HP of 30,000 HP. New to MapleLegends? Read more about the washing, and the game in general with Getting Started in MapleLegends.

Click “File” > “Make a copy” if you wish to run your own numbers.

How much HP do we need to create?

To reach 30k HP, we need to create an additional 17,000 HP through washing.

By level 180, a Warrior will have naturally gained around 11,750 hp from leveling up. You’ll also be able to have 1,400 HP from equip(s) such as the Tier 10 Monster Book Ring (1,000), Ellin Savior's Ring (100), and Mark of Naricain (300). This leaves ~17,000 HP that we need to create through HP Washing to reach our 30,000 HP goal. Since each HP Wash gives warriors 52 HP, it will take around 330 HP Washes to complete.

How much MP do we need to create?

Each HP Wash gives an additional 52 HP, but costs 4 MP. These 330 HP Washes will require us to create at least a surplus of 1,320 MP.

We also want to have some extra MP leftover at the end. You could save time, levels and NX by washing your MP all the way to the Minimum MP, but it’s recommended to plan for a little extra MP at the end for the quality of life.

We also want a little extra on top. You will almost certainly level up a few times without remembering to put on your INT equip(s). There’s also a few levels early on where you won’t yet be of level to wear all of your INT equip(s) As such, let’s make sure there’s a little extra at the end.

We’ll choose 2,000 MP as the amount we want to have leftover. That provides some quality of life, and a little buffer room.

How do we create this much MP?

We’ll get MP from these sources:

    A. Leveling Up
    B. Base INT & INT Equip(s)
    C. Maple Warrior
    D. Job Advancements
    E. MP Equip(s)

    A. Leveling Up

Warriors gain an average of 5 MP each time they level up. However, the majority of your MP gains are going to come from your Base INT and INT Equip(s).

    B. Base INT & INT Equip(s)

When leveling up, warriors get a bonus to their MP gained based on their INT: 1 point for every 10 INT. This bonus is based on your total INT, including Base INT, and INT Equip(s).

For example: Let’s say a warrior has 50 Base INT and 50 from INT Equip(s). This warrior will therefore have 100 INT and will gain +15 MP on a level up. That’s a base of 5 MP, plus a 10 MP bonus for having 100 INT.

Remember that this bonus works in increments of ten. For example: 100 INT will give +10 MP. 109 INT also only gives +10 MP because the formula rounds down to the nearest tenth place.

The more INT from Equip(s) you can afford the better, but aim for at least 50+ INT from Equip(s).

Read More: Krythan's Washing Gear Guide | Efficiently Buying and Scrolling for INT

    C. Maple Warrior

You may also get more MP if you level up with the Maple Warrior buff active. Though, in practice the benefits are very minor. Maple Warrior 20 (mw20) gives a +10% bonus to your Base INT. A warrior with 50 Base INT with the Maple Warrior buff will gain bonus MP as if they had 55 Base INT.

    D. Job Advancements

Paladins and Dark Knights also receive a small bonus of MP from the 2nd job advancement.

    E. MP Equip(s)

With a Tier 10 Monster Book ring (500), Mark of Naricain (300), and Ellin Ring (100), we can account for 900 MP from equip(s). While we can’t use this MP to create HP, it does help us reach our goal of 2,000 MP.

How much INT should I have?

You should have at least 100 INT, but more is better. This can come from both Base INT and INT Equip(s).

For example: 50 Base INT and 50 from INT Equip(s). Leveling with a higher INT lets you reach your goals sooner, and thus reset your Base INT sooner, but does make it more difficult to level.

When do we reset our Base INT?

Once we’ve created enough MP that we can afford our remaining HP Washes, we no longer need to carry any Base INT, and we can reset our Base INT to 4.

This requires an AP Reset, bought in the Cash Shop to 3,100 NX each. For example: Resetting 50 Base INT to 4 Base INT will require 46 AP Resets, thus 142,600 NX.

Generally, aim to reset your Base INT around level 135. This is a nice target level because it’s the level at which you get exp from Zakum, thus marking the start of “bossing”. Carrying your Base INT for longer makes it easier to reach your goals, but at the cost of some of your damage.

How can we tell when we’ve created enough MP that we can afford our remaining HP Washes?

Do the math! Determine how much more HP you need to reach 30,000 at 180. Subtract your Minimum MP (see below) from your current Base MP. Do you have enough MP to do the remainder of your 330 HP Washes?

When can we stop wearing INT Equip(s)?

Always wear your INT Equip(s) when leveling up. Don’t worry if you miss a few levels, it’s only natural to forget.

    When do we HP Wash?

Once you’ve maxed the warrior’s Improving Max HP Increase skill, you can do HP Washes whenever you have Fresh AP, the MP, and the NX to do so. When you level up, simply put points of Fresh AP into HP, then use an AP Reset to remove a point from MP and put it into your STR.

This requires an AP Reset, bought in the Cash Shop to 3,100 NX each. These ~330 HP Washes will cost 1,000,000 NX spread out over the course of leveling the character.

Each HP Wash requires 4 MP. So if you’re leveling with 100 INT, you’re making 10 extra MP per leveling, which is enough MP to do 2.5 HP Washes every leveling. If you don’t have the NX to do so at your current level, that’s ok! You can do 0 HP Washes one level, and 5 HP Washes the next level, it’s all the same!

Essentially, you’ll have to do 330 HP Washes, it’s your choice as to when you want to do these washes. You can spread them out and do 2 or 3 every level, or you can wait until later and do 5 per level until you reach your target. If you have the NX to do so, it’s often nice to do some earlier so that you can benefit from the extra HP earlier.

Just make sure you'll have enough Fresh AP to do 330 HP Washes. For example: If you wait until level 120 to start HP Washing, you won't have enough Fresh AP (5 per level) from 120 to 160 to reach your targets.

Don’t have any NX at the moment!? That’s ok. You can put a point into HP, and leave it there until you have the NX to take it out and complete the wash. Just make sure this, or a level up, won’t push you over 30k HP, as any gains above that are lost.

    [IMG] 3. Step by Step

You may reach your goals sooner or later than the listed levels. The levels listed here represent a baseline, your results may vary.

    Levels 0-9
    • Start with 10 INT
    • Put Fresh AP into STR until you have 35 STR
    • Put Fresh AP into INT.
Reminder: You need 35 STR to do your job advancement.

    Levels 10+
    • Continue to put Fresh AP into INT until you have reached your target.
    • Complete your Job Advancement to a Warrior.
    • Put 1 SP into Power Strike or Slash Blast
    • Max your Improving Max HP Increase Skill
    • Wear your INT Equip(s) ever level up.
    • Acquire a Zakum Helm (50), Mark of Naricain (110), and Horntail Pendant (120) as soon as you can.
    • HP Wash! When you have Fresh AP, NX, and enough MP to do so. Try and do at least 2 HP Washes ever level once you've maxed the Improve MaxHP skill.
    Levels 135+
    • Double, TRIPLE CHECK that you have created enough MP that you can afford your remaining HP Washes.
    • Once sure, Reset Base INT to 4
    • Continue to wear your INT Equip(s) ever level up.
    • More HP Washing! When you have Fresh AP, NX, and enough MP to do so.

    [IMG] 4. FAQ

Q: What about HP/MP gained after level 180?

For the sake of simplicity, all calculations here are using the assumption that we can hit our goals by level 180. Thus, there are additional HP and MP gains that aren’t being accounted for in the above numbers.

    Q: What about Minimum MP?

Other resources online will account for Minimum MP. This is the lowest amount that your MP can be before you are unable to subtract MP with an AP Reset. Since we’re planning to create excess MP, we should be well above the Minimum MP. To calculate your Minimum MP you can use the following formulas:
It’s not recommended, but If you’re not concerned about the quality of life of having leftover MP at the end, you can reduce the NX cost by HP Washing all the way down to the very Minimum MP that the game will allow.

Q: How much MP should I have left over?

This guide accounts for 2,000 MP leftover at the end. If you want to optimize for potting during end-game bosses and their attacks like Horntail’s mana drain, or Pink Bean’s zombify, it may be worth considering a higher MP target at the end, but that’s beyond the scope of this guide.

Q: Does a Dark Knight need to wash to 30k?

Many Dark Knights will choose to not wash to 30k, but rather 18,750. That's because they can almost always rely on their own Hyper Body buff to reach 30k. As such, you can opt for a lower threshold, and if you change your mind as a future DK, the challenges will someday provide a way to get 28k+.

Q: What about the HP Challenges?

As of early 2024, the MapleLegends team is working on implementing an alternative to HP Washing. As currently explained, this system will allow characters to opt out of HP Washing in favor of doing quests to gain additional HP.

While this Challenge system may be more convenient, it’s still strongly recommended for warriors to HP Wash. HP Washing allows you to reach your HP goals earlier, and we don’t yet know how long it will take for the remaining tiers of the challenges to be released, nor what quests they will require.

Great guide just like your others. May I suggest having a 30k by 155 section as well, for the people who want to be ready for HT, if it's not too much trouble.

Thanks! Repeating what SinistersSinisters said below, you would just have to increase your INT, in order to account for more HP Washes. Aiming for 30k at 155 instead of level 180 would mean you're missing out on ~1,500 HP worth of level up gains. So that's another 25 HP Washes you'd want to account for.

If you're optimizing for Horntail specifically, (it's a lot), but it might be worth considering aiming for 3k+ MP to account for mana drain.

I've attached the calculator/spreadsheet in the "2. How It Works" section of this post for anyone that wants to see how different plans would look different based on changing variables such as Base INT, Leftover MP, or Target Level.

That was my goal and I reached it with 360 ap resets and that’s with tier 10 ring, mon, and ellin ring.

Difference between 155 and 180 is around 1500 hp gained from lvl up. So you’ll need 30 extra ap resets to cover it.

Pro Tip! You don't need to carry the same amount of INT for the whole time. If you have some extra NX, you can "front-load" MP gains, carrying more INT in your early levels when leveling is faster/easier, and reducing your INT at later levels when you care more about damage.

For example: Having 100 INT for 50 levels, and 20 INT for 50 levels... is the same as having 60 INT for 100 levels.

When considering INT gear, does the goal of 50 on equips include the zhelm only wearable at level 50?
Or is it recommended to acquire +50 INT wearable earlier?

I won't be able to afford +35 INT either, but I'm just trying to figure out how much higher I need to pump base INT to make up for it.

If you have a new char, you can get zh at 50, and the deputy at 80, which works, if you have a deputy left and/or some helm that is int (even if only a little) you can use it first

I see. I was just worried about how late those equips come online, how much it should affect my maths since they won't be able to generate as much MP over the lifetime of the character.

Well, I'm not sure about the math part, but I started with much less and everything went well, if you're "afraid" you can do 10+ in base
