Congrats!!! You just hit a stroke of luck and got your first Chaos Scroll or White Scroll from Gacha! What now?

    What just happened?

You were cashing in your Gacha Tickets. And suddenly got a popup message!

You'll see a "yellow line" broadcasting your stroke of luck to everyone. You'll get a new note instructing you to not get scammed. You may even get a whisper or two from other players.

    What's a Chaos Scroll?

A Chaos Scroll, or "cs" for short, is a rare scroll that has a 60% chance to "Alter [ all stats of ] the equipment for better or worse, by increasing or decreasing each stat between 0~5." Most commonly used for scrolling equip(s) for the attack stat, Chaos Scrolls have a number of uses in the end-game to push the limits on your equip(s).

    What's a White Scroll?

A White Scroll, or "ws" for short, is a rare scroll that "if used in conjunction with [another] scroll, the number of item upgrade slots will not be deducted if the scroll fails." Most commonly used for scrolling perfect items in the end-game.

    What's a Prestigious Coin?

Prestigious coins, “p coins” or just “coins” are a form of currency. Prestigious Coins are most commonly acquired from bossing. Unlike mesos, coins are not taxed when traded, making them a preferred currency for buying and selling expensive items. Prestigious Coins can also be used to purchase Chaos/White scrolls, which as seen above, end-game players will use for scrolling.

The price of Prestigious Coins fluctuates. As of September 2024, coins are worth around 2.6m each. However the price has fluctuated between 2m and 3.2m over the past year.

How to sell a Chaos or White Scroll?

How can we convert our new Chaos or White Scroll into mesos that we can use? Chaos and White scrolls are un-tradeable. But, you can...

    A. Scroll an item
    B. Convert it to a pouch
    C. Sell the service

    Option A. Scroll an item

You can use the scroll yourself. I call this the "YOLO", as you'd be making a very large, very expensive gamble. Common items to Chaos scroll include max-stat Mark of Naricain, Pink Gaia Cape, Yellow Snowshoes, and more. If this is your first Chaos or White Scroll, as the profit from lower-risk Option B. and Option C. below greatly impact your ability to make progress with your current character.

Option B. Convert it to a pouch

While the scroll itself can't be sold, it can be converted to a Pouch 5, which can then be sold, or opened for Prestigious Coins, which can also be traded and sold.

To convert your scroll to a Pouch 5, you can visit the "Prestige Shop" on the left side of Henesys or visit the Temple of Time (Leafre). Here you can exchange your Chaos or White Scroll for a Pouch 5, which will show up in your "Use" tab.

Pouch 5 us a use-able item, that can give you somewhere between 80 and 100 Prestigious Coins. You can either sell the Pouch 5, or you can open it yourself and take the gamble on how many coins are inside.

Tip: Use an "Owl of Minerva" from the Cash Shop to search the Free Market and see the current value of a Pouch 5.

Once you've opened a Pouch 5, these coins will appear in your "Etc" tab, and can then be sold or traded to other players.

Tip: Use an "Owl of Minerva" from the Cash Shop to search the Free Market and see the current value of Prestigious Coins.

    Option C. Sell the service

Alternatively, other players often buy the "service" for 93 coins. Instead of converting your scroll to a Pouch 5, you can directly sell the use of the scroll to another player for a fixed amount. In this case, the buyer of the service will pay you to use the scroll on an item that they provide.

Often the other player will ask you to stream (share your screen) during the process so they can verify the service. This service is more common for Chaos Scrolls, and less common to see for White Scrolls... as White Scrolls require a high amount of trust from the buyer that you won't make a mistake on their expensive item.

    What's next!

    Congrats! You're rich!!!

The biggest mistake I see new players make, is using their new found profits to immediately upgrade all their gear. While, shopping is fun, there's a high chance that you'll outgrow all of your gear within a few levels. Read more about "Getting Stronger" in Krythan's New Player Guide, or treat yourself and Buy Leech. If you're a mage or washing your character, check out Krythan's Washing Gear Guide.
