Completed Anniversary Community Event 2021

Happy 6th Anniversary MapleLegends!! ​

To celebrate such an amazing milestone with us, we'd like to invite you all to create an advertisement for any in-game item!

What's your favourite item in MapleLegends? Can you convince others how amazing it is through your marketing techniques?​

General Entry Rules

• Submissions will end on July 8th, 2021 (when the event ends)
• Submissions will be individual (not team-based)
• Rewards are only for the winners - you cannot transfer them to other players
• Copying other peoples work will result in immediate disqualification
  • If you happen to pick the same item as someone else, that's okay! (just no direct copying)
• Your submission must be in line with the MapleLegends Terms and Conditions (please, nothing that's inappropriate/offensive)

Judgement Criteria

• How convincing is it: Are you able to convince us that your favourite item is worth buying in-game? (untradeable stuff is okay too)
• Quality & Effort: Try and put some effort and make it look like a real ad! The higher quality of your entry, the greater chance you have of winning!
• Theme: Is it on theme with MapleLegends?

Categories

There are 2 different categories you can enter in; video, or poster. You are only allowed to enter ONE category, so choose which one best fits you!


Video Advertisement:

Now is your chance to become the Billy Mays of MapleLegends! Create an advertisement video that illustrates the qualities, features, and benefits of your chosen in-game item. This can be anything from potions & use items to equipment, cash shop items or even ETCs! Get creative with it! How can you convince a MapleLegends player to purchase your item?

Think of something you'd see on the TV, or before you watch a youtube video. You're free to use whichever techniques you'd like such as recording in-game, doing voiceovers, or even throwing in some video editing and design!

• Link to Video: (30 seconds ~ 1 minute)

Poster Advertisement:

Create a poster that illustrates the qualities, features, and benefits of your chosen in-game item. This can be anything from potions & use items to equipment, cash shop items or even ETCs!

Some formats you can consider using are:

• Billboard advertisements (16:9 ratio, widescreen)
• Banner advertisements (like what you'd see at the bottom/top of a website, 21:9 ratio/wide & thin)
• Sidebar advertisements (like what you'd see at the side of a website, 9:16 ratio/portrait)

Think of something you'd come across on a website (where you're forced to turn Adblockers off ) You're free to use whichever techniques you'd like such as screenshots pulled from Legends, sprites from maples.im, and etc.
