Reduce Bucc wash costs

    As many will know in the upper mid-end game there is a rather large (and growing) lack of buccs. It's been there as long as I've known personally.

    The recruitment channel on the discord is filled with R>Bucc for PB, HT, and Auf constantly. A bucc in Auf is very hard to find and vital role where if you don't find one, the run just doesnt happen at all. The new 30 man PB runs are also struggling to fill permanent spots (ours included)

    Since a bucc buff would require extensive rework and not likely to happen, I propose we bring their washing formulas closer to that of warriors. When players create a new class and still want an economical option often Pally is suggested, or challenges shad. With this change it'd give new players more options and hopefully with time bring more buccs into the end game to fill these vital spots

    Edit: For those who will argue they can do challenges for bucc - the challenges do not fsir well once you start moving into auf+pb relying on HB. They simply do not give enough HP clean, and ultimately (arguably) create a failed character. Likely why there is so few that make it to the 175+ levels

    I disagree on the grounds that I just got done washing my bucc and a general take on these forums is "I suffered so you have to as well"/"any QoL changes invalidate my efforts", so I will also choose to be unsympathetic towards new players.

    I should say for clarity that I do agree. I think the barrier for entry into late game content being 1-2 years of voting and leeching for 150+ levels instead of what you'd rather be playing is a bit ridiculous of an ask for any class; and I'd love for HP challenges to be more impactful/washing to be more attainable, although I'm sure some will try to argue the definition of 'attainable' with me. I just wanted to cosplay as a jaded forum user and throw the spite at someone else for once.

    Not to mention buccaneer turned out to be my favorite class in the game, so it would be nice for other people to maybe experience that themselves. It's just a real shame it only took 145 levels of sitting on a rope for a year and playing bishop instead for me to discover that.

    NGL im convinced that by T8 questline release they will buff HP gains
    as for now they let the Washers get used to the idea that more and more challenged get to end game
    that or DK rework so op you would drown in HB


    so just wait 2 years

    I’d argue that it’s more because the pathway to 175 kinda sucks for buccs, even for infra players. It’s rarer to see people grinding these days.

    I don't think a change is warranted, washing bucc is already superrr ez. I do agree that challenge bucc should get more hp though (as does shad, challenge shad is just challenged sad).

    Take matters into your own hands instead of asking for changes, rise up as player.

    Learn to run with less/no buccs, make your own bucc or make your runs more attractive to buccs. You can do this.

    I don't know how GMS works.

    Some private servers allow players to reset the "Improved MP Recovery" skill to reduce the MP cost (-20MP instead of -30MP) during a mage's stale HP washing process. However, I tried this on MapleLegends, and it doesn't work here (always -30MP).

    Similarly, on these servers, players can reset the "Improved HP Recovery" skill, and reset HP to MP to gain extra MP. Then after maxing out "Improved HP Recovery," reset MP back to HP to gain extra HP. I haven't tried this myself, but I suspect it wouldn't work on MapleLegends either.

    If MapleLegends has implemented restrictions on the methods mentioned above, I don't see any harm in allowing the "Improved HP Recovery" skill to be effective during stale HP washing for Buccaneers and Warriors.

    EDIT: It will definitely make creating a 30k/30k buccaneer or warrior much easier.

    yah i also think hp challenge should be better for buccs. As of the moment i cant really recommend to any new player to make bucc with challenge in mind. They dont have any achilles and slow attacks mean they have the least agency in dodging attacks

    If bucc didn’t feel so bad at HT the pathway to 175 would be much easier.
