State of archers

Amusingly enough I don’t think this exists atm. The best BMs have good but not amazing gear (mardi and deepwood) and the best geared BMs don’t play the game (Isaac and Kenny)

BM right now are pathetically bad in any content where you get hit. The avoidability of BM is so low you're constantly trying to readjust to keep proper positioning (Zak, Ht, scarga/targa for example) that the average NL 15 levels under you has a decent chance of whiting you just due to issues keeping Hurricane uptime. I'd settle just for a modest boost in avoid rather than any skill buffs, BM is essentially useless in most content aside from CWKPQ and Rav (lol is this even content?)

 

sweatlord, you need another 40 or so levels for the avoid to kick in and momentum buffer

 

Tbh momentum buffer can be learned at any level. I can count the number of BMs I’ve seen actually momentum buffer in HT right side MH platform on one hand. Same thing with other optimizations like head duck arrow rain.

People are quick to blame the class as bad rather than learn how to play it properly.

FWIW I don’t think an archer buff would necessarily be bad by any means, but I think there’s other classes that need it more.

Also what repositioning is there even to do in Zak? You can pretty much just afk and hold Hurricane.

The amount of people against a BM buff I feel don't even play them to begin with. Manually potting (because pet's don't heal/MP us with Hurricane) +repositioning nonstop +zero avoid whatsoever is ridiculous when nearly every other class just AFK's the entire run (Looking at you warriors/thieves)

Everyone is quick to shut down a buff yet cries when there is no SE in the entire server for your content.

no no no, try dodging the pillars on the right side below the platform. if you aren't willing to do that then bm might be the wrong class

You really can tho. The pillars don’t always hit the corner and the ones that do can usually be shielded by your bishop.

 

just stay under the platform and make sure when you duck your hitbox stays under as well
