As I noticed, whenever we see damage comparisons, people tend to compare it to Night Lords. There's already a lot discussed for buffing specific classes and nerfing Night Lords, so I won't be getting into that. Instead, I would like to introduce a different point of view where we buff sharp eyes, which in return will help out the damage output for non-NL, non-Archer classes.

    Currently:
    • [Assassin] Critical Throw - Max Level, Crit Rate 50%, Crit damage 200%
    • [Archers] Critical Shot - Max Level, Crit Rate 50%, Crit damage 200%
    • [Skill] Sharp Eyes: Max Level Crit Rate 15%, Crit Damage 140%
What if instead, we increase the Sharp Eyes' Crit Rate and/or Crit Damage, while lowering the Crit Rate and/or Crit Damage for Critical Throw and Critical Shot. If adjusted properly, NL gets to keep their damage while other classes receives a small buff in damage. This, hopefully, also promotes party play.

Think you've misread somewhere that Bowman crit and Assassin crit have different numbers.

This is going to make NL even worse without SE, and the staff doesn't like it.
Also, no need to buff the most powerful damage boost skill in the game

I feel this is very similar to the argument for cleaves. Cleaves are great against mobs but terrible against single target. I personally feel it’s ok for NL to perform a lot worse without SE. I also don’t see a scenario where any NL would run bosses without SE.

Last time this happened it wasn't exactly popular. Here's a thread for you to go through about a change like that

Last time, the change was to do the exact opposite of what OP is trying to achieve. It was to make NLs stronger without SE and keep them the same with SE. If that had insane outrage, then surely making NLs weaker without SE and keeping them the same with SE would have even more people triggered.

You're not being realistic here, most of playerbase are casual, doing this you're only ruining the entire game experience for everyone who didn't leeched their NL till 150+, also SE really doesn't deserve any buff, it's already overpowered enough to make people don't want to do boss runs without it

Nerf BM. They're too strong and multiclient too easily.

Won't your suggestion mainly benefit non-nl and non-archer classes with high lines? I.e. corsairs and buccs. They are already strong as it is. Jobs that are commonly asking for a buff like warrior and shads barely benefit from this.

Yea I'd rather see sharp eyes toned down a bit to allow more party flexibility

A good rule of thumb, take note how changes will affect the single client casual players as well. Hence, no and cheers.

Not exactly sure why people think Assassins/Hermits are the worse pre-4th job class when gunslingers are worse in 2nd job and priests are slower in 3rd job. Yes, Assassins/Hermits will have their damage lowered in 2nd and 3rd job, but they by no means will be the worst 2nd job/3rd job classes.

I'd think SE would be in even higher demand then with less players creating new archers post a SE nerf lol

Hmm I'd think a small nerf to SE would have a bigger impact on potential party composition than it would on the amount of new SE mules.

Idk maybe you're right. IMO ideally bringing SE should be a boon but not a necessity unless maybe for NL who trades being king of the hill for being buff dependant.
