    Hello everyone,
Until recently, this guide was outdated for a long while. Perhaps making some people a little bit mad when I was shitting on their classes and now they're not so shit anymore. So here's the updated summary, I hope you'll find it useful - and feel free to debate if you believe I was wrong.

    Beginner
    Bossing: ★
    Mobbing: ★
    Mobility: ★☆☆
    Utility:
    Survivability:
    Damage:
    ☆☆☆☆

    Style (IMO):

    Wash:
    Not required.
    Funds Requirement: Low
Summary: This class fits for people who would rather relay on quests mainly and level slowly and take the game really hardcore. The greatest thing about making a Permanent-Beginner is that you experience a lot more content the game has to offer instead of powerleveling.
    Overall score: ★☆
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Hero
    Bossing: ★
    Mobbing: ★★☆
    Mobility: ★
    Utility: ★☆
    Survivability: ★★★★★

    Damage:
    ★☆
    Style (IMO):
    ★☆
    Wash:
Not required although VERY recommended (even if just a bit, especially if you want to boss certain bosses without HB).
    Funds Requirement: Low-Medium
Summary: This class is the best class for unfunded people, it does not require much, HP wash is not heavily needed and the damage is just amazing.
    Overall score:
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Dark Knight
    Bossing: ★★☆
    Mobbing: ★★☆
    Mobility: ★
    Utility: ★☆
    Survivability:★★★☆☆

    Damage: ★☆
    Style (IMO): ★☆
    Wash:
Needed, but only about 150 washes to hit 18.7k HP (30k with HB).
    Funds Requirement: Medium
Summary: This class is just great, the damage is high, also very desired in bosses due to their HB skill which increases the party's HP&MP by 60%. The main downside is that they can't Berserk in certain bosses (because if they keep their HP lower than 15k they will get 1-shot).
    Overall score:

    Wash:
Not required but recommended to wash a little bit.
    Funds Requirement: High
Summary: This class is amazing when it comes to grinding, it has the highest EPH after mages due to their use of Taunt skill which grants them additional 40% EXP/Drop. Also capable of killing even Bigfoot at level 70. This class is very balanced and independent, could do anything by itself without being dependant on anyone.

    Wash:
Not required but recommended to wash a little bit.

Summary: This class is SO desired in bosses since they got amazing supportive skills, (Time Leap which resets all skills cooldowns and Speed Infusion which let the party attack faster).

    Style (IMO): ★★★★

    Wash:
    A lot of washes required.
    Funds Requirement: Medium
Summary: This class was buffed so badly lately that this is absurd, it is so strong while the character is on the ship yet extremely weak when they aren't.
    Overall score: ★★★☆
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Noteable classes
Bishop: That's definitely the best class in the game, yes it's a supportive class but it opens so many doors. It's the best class for a first character. Also you'll be rich, guaranteed.

Hero: Amazing class with extremely high damage (second highest) that does not require much fundings nor washes. Definitely great as a first character.

Paladin: Extremely strong against certain bosses, does not require washes and really cheap. Great as a first character.

Shadower: Yes, this class requires fundings and it's damage is not rocking, BUT you are capable of doing anything alone. This class is very independent and balanced. It's survivability is insane and it's really easy to level from 70 to 105 without leeching. In fact, leeching would be less efficient than training.

Bowmaster: Great class, however requires a lot of washing, very desired at bosses due to it's Sharp Eye skill and ability to pin the boss.

Buccaneer: This class is not very strong but very good as a supportive class. Every party would love to have one while bossing due to it's Time Leap skill which allows the party to skip thier cooldowns and Speed Infusion skill which allows the party to attack faster.

Marksman: This class was recently buffed even further, making it one of the stronger classes in the game. However, the main downside is that your main attack is the same one you get at 3rd job combined with a cooldown attack (Snipe) from 4th job.

Corsair: This class is great (at least now).. it was buffed so bad that they made it from a Zero to Hero. The main problem is that you need to protect your ship like an egg from damage. You want it to last for as long as you can because you deal shitloads of damage while riding it.

can you define what bossing and utility exactly mean?

    imo for mm:
mobbing 3.5 stars because piercing arrow damage is really strong
funds to be low-medium because snipe30 is no longer 75mil and xbow scrolls are cheaper than bow scrolls

Haha yeah, that's true. I will change this.
About Bossing is how good they are at bosses and Utility is how useful they are. For example their utility is 5 out of 5 because of Sharp eye

Just going to point out that in addition to providing SE, BMs also have one of the highest single target DPMs. The only classes that can out DPM BMs on a single target are NLs and sairs(in certain situations).
Also could you explain why you have MM at 1 star for bossing, seems a bit odd for a class without decent single target damage and SE.

Could be useful at arms when I'm thinking of it, but in general they're not really a bossing class

change bowmasters bossing and damage to 4 stars. they are actually probably the 2nd or 3rd best DPS class.

I can solo all same bosses that NL's can (such as bigfoot, anego, etc). Bm/mm's can use puppet to solo samaurai's, a boss that NL's cant unless they are washed to 10k+ hp. BM's have the advantage to MM's in bossing because they can solo BodyGuard A + B & The Boss (Grandpa at Showa) but who does that other than samvosh....

Cuz of snipe, MM's are one of the strongest classes from lvl 140 - 150ish because they get 2.4mil dpm free (not including strafe damage). This makes mm's really strong to solo bigfoots at those levels; in fact I got to 155 pretty quick despite contesting against the shinsoo heroes

the bossing criteria is pretty interesting because there are bosses that some jobs can fight, that others can't. The best example of this is how it is extremely difficult for warriors to fight BodyGuard A + B & The Boss. They do 20k+ spell & touch damage, and can stun. These bosses are designed for ranged attackers so they can pin them while getting holyshielded for the majority of the boss run. On the other hand, ranged attackers cannot fight Toad because they simply do not have enough HP (unless they are heavily washed).

in your criteria I would personally say utility and bossing goes hand to hand and maybe perhaps you can combine them together in one?

Style is an opinion... And I agree with your opinions on that.
But the capabilities should be based on results instead and I don't think that nail was really hit on the head

    this looks cool~
why is marksman's bossing 1 star? compared to other classes, marksman do just as much, if not more damage (e.g. shadowers, mages, lower level bow masters). I agree with what taxdoggo said

Utility could be altered to have its own niche, since the current one appears to be based off bossing only. Utility could be extended to how well a class does quests, provides buffs, leeching ability, etc.

also shadowers are definitely 10 stars of style MapleF14

Great post and guide definitely useful for beginners deciding on which class to choose. Just needs a bit more fine tuning.

Just some points to highlight (apart from those already stated above):

Bowman classes' mobility should be lower than the warriors (and buccs) since warriors do have rush skill but the bowmasters and xbowmasters literally have no mobility what so ever.

Corsair's damage should be way higher. Theoretically speaking, they have the highest dps amongst the other classes if they are on their ship. (they hit harder than NLs on single target bosses like scarlion, targa, anego, samurai, etc)

Mages (mainly I/L and F/P) would require some washing (although not nececssary) in order to efficiently use pots. I feel that this point should be put in as well.

Pally's mobbing could be slightly higher given that they have HH skill which has the same range as mages. While they would require a finisher, they would definitely be better mobbers than e.g. MM

One thing that could also be added is the level at which the classes will be boss ready or at max damage. Pirate classes have way more skills to add and will probably only finish maxing their 4th job skills at 150+, as compared to other classes who are more or less boss ready by 140+ (and bishops are even boss ready by 81 when they max HS).

Cheers, would definitely share this with people who are just starting out and are at a loss!

Yup, Pally main here. The HH is skill is so badly ignored but it will make their epm one of the highest in the game. With mobs that have hp close to the dmg cap of 199,999 or higher, they are a necessary class for high lvl maps with good spawn like in shaolin, at even lower lvls than mages with a partner of course. This skill will also bypass wep/ma cancel btw.

Poorly made guide as of now, there are many issues:

    - Bishop being rated a 2/5 stars in bossing, but is stated as a must in all boss parties? Maybe clarify your definition of bossing?
    - Corsairs technically have a higher DPS than NL's if consistently on their ship. Lack of self buffs also give them an edge in downtime.
    - This should be a summary of classes, not your personal opinion and bias which ultimately affects the overall class rating.

"Bossing" in legends usually refers to single target damage, which bishops arguably lack except at holy-weak bosses (only Kachuu Musha comes to mind).

I agree with everything else you say though.

Preach my brother, as one of the top MM I totally disagree on giving us a 1 star for bossing. Now with the addition of neotokyo bosses having se either with a bm/mm is a must for runs.
