Allow Valentine ETC to be stackable

This is asked for every year, and the Admins turn it down each time.

There's a reason why they don't stack - they're too valuable to be able to stack. The value of these drops versus the frustration of how much their inventory quickly gets clogged and difficulty selling in stores because of how many slots they take up keep the items balanced. I wouldn't mind them being stackable, but I'm not holding my breath.

 

The reason they didn't stack last year was because admins wanted to prevent abuse of the valentine event exchange (i.e. placing 30 of each etc on a mule and logging in each day just to turn in the etc for 3x chocolate). This year the only reason left is to force players to go through a small inconvenience to get an overpowered buff potion for 1hr.

 

Just let it be stackable please. The ETCs are not worth keeping to sell. I throw out plenty every day of each ETC as do my other guildies.

As redblueblur said just make them untradeable/stackable

If you cant sell them it removes the problem of them being 'valuable'.
Given they drop from all mobs its not that hard to farm your own anyway as you go about your buisness.

but is super painful to just stop your grind to remove half your inventory covered in 4 different etc drops that cannot stack

 

The real reason they don't stack is because they didn't stack in GMS. There are also concerns about hording loads of them on a mule.

While I don't see any issue (personally - other staff disagree) from a balance side of things if we were to make them stack, I don't see this as realistically being high priority enough for us to be making any changes to it this year. We may review it next year when running the event again, though.

 

i think make it stack is important. i dont even do the valentine basket quest cuz it is very inconvenient to have my etc clogged. especially when have very limited amount of slots, and that you have to travel all the way to henesys to complete the quest. Very inconvenient...

 

Washing is optional so just expand the inventory to the cap. I have dozens of useless things in my inventory and room for dozens more. Do I need 2000 wyvern toenails? Probably not, but selling them is a hassle.

Regardless if you have maxed etc inventory, the Valentine quest etc will fill your slots very quickly, since it is 1etc per slot. Then you have to pause from your grinding, go to an empty platform and toss away those stuff.
Unless the pet item ignore skill works, then yeah no need to be stackable.

 

Valentine etcs don't drop if you're not on the quest. So just don't be on the quest when you're not actively hunting for them.
