Hey maplers,

Forgive the lack of updates - I've been on THE GRIND.



So at this point, everyone knows that the Demon King Tower jump quest featured in this event is extremely profitable if you can clear it efficiently. This is especially true if you're one of those turbonerd maple gamers with dozens of 3rd and 4th job characters to farm an unlimited amount of raffles.

But sadly, Skushi is just one character. And he's not even a high enough level to get the best tier of raffles. Shame, because I'm one of those dweebs who actually don't mind doing jump quests, and as far as JQs go, this one is surprisingly tolerable - at times, even FUN. So, bummer.

Though... now that I think about it, maybe there is a way to profit from this thing, even without multiple accounts or an army of premade mules.

Enter LordToben: eviscerator of tutorials, bane of goblin archers, the ever-deleted and recreated. A man with one mission:

To obtain 30 Retro Coupons as fast as possible.

Maple Island.
Jump Training.
Dodge Training.
Slay Demon King twice.
Acquire chair, delete, repeat.



With enough practice, I was able to get the full process down to just under an hour:

Having a vague idea of how markets work, I made it my mission to abuse this tiny niche as much as possible in the first few days of the event before the value of First Maple Tree chairs inevitably tanked. The profits were great, and far beyond what Skushi can currently achieve farming Chronos:



And with our upswing in fortunes, I grabbed a few new gear pieces:


This Karstan started at a sucky 82 att and failed the first slot (30), but then passed a 10%, a 30%, and four 60s in succession. What a comeback!


And finally, some "real" INT gear. Overall wasn't cheap as I'd like, but Skushi's gotta invest in himself.

Now if you'll excuse me, it's back to Chronos! Maybe a couple more chairs, too.

OK maplers,

Skushi already has more meso than he knows what to do with. I could dink around at Chronos until both myself and MapleLegends die of old age, but I think it's about time we got this show on the road.



The Next Goal
Now is the time to maximize Skushi's earning potential. For this, he needs a lot of levels. Which means a LOT of grinding, and probably *gasp* leeching too.

Our goal will be level 15x by the end of this event.
CDs, 7F, watch out.

MAPLERS.

I think I've had about as much fun as I'm going to have playing on Skushi. Don't get me wrong, Dark Knights are very cool. But Perion is not where my heart lies.

However, I do wanna squeeze at least a few more ounces of enjoyment out of this great game while the chance remains. To that end, I'm planning to drag a few old skeletons back out of the closet and see if I can't breathe some life back into them.

No promises on any jOuRnALs, though I can guarantee you at least a shitpost or two in the near future. This old mapler still has one or two tricks up his sleeve... or his sock.
