Perf NT Knuckle Journal

Hello everyone!
It's my first time writing a post.

So I am known for my gambling addiction (well what can I say, scrolling is addicting),
I've decided it's about time I build my own perfect weapon.
While I could have settled for a less expensive knuckle, such as +4/3 DSC and just WS10 3 slots, I wanted to finish a PERFECT NT weapon (honestly, for buccs it looks so cool).
So, I made my money mostly from scrolling.
That's how I generated income, and that's also what I really enjoyed in this game.

The thing that really made me start, is the creation of another 8/5 (I think it's my 4th one already?).

So, first of all, I bought 2x perf NT knuckles for 75c each.

After getting quite an easy +2, I got even more motivated.
Ever since then, I focused a lot more on leeching, I sold every item in my possession that my buccaneer didn't need, and I abandoned scrolling.
Lunar and Valentine's event really helped gathering some more coins.

Sadly, my 8/5 BWG doesn't sell for over a month, and my alliance mates convinced me to first slam 14 ws10 (as that's what I had without the 8/5).

Total spent:
150c for the knuckles
1400c for ws
140m for exchanging
TOTAL: 1550c + 140m


To be honest - I'm not sure how I feel about the results.

PS - I don't have that much time IRL, so this probably would take a lot of time.
PS 2 - I don't have a multimage/multiDK setup, so as a single f/p + hs mule, would take a lot more time haha

 

Update:

Leeched for around 5-6 hours in the past 2 days, results:
Buyers: 110m
Gachas: 16 common, 3 rare
Raffles: 41 (21 opened, 20 not yet)

Did some JQ on my bucc as well, got another 20 raffles.
opened 41 - results: 16 coins, 2x css20%.

Reminder for myself:
Still gotta buy MW20 service for my f/p, petris are not that far anymore!
(rip almost 2ws10), I'll wait for prices to go cheaper.

F/P progress:
LVL 150, finally done washing !
TMA: 1092 without buffs.
Gear: 179 tma wand 5, MoN 15 tma, zhelm 14 int, bathrobe 18 int, cape 16 int, earrings 27 tma, shield 20 tma, gloves 18 tma, mask 9 int, event ring 9 int.
I invested 500m in scrolling all of these, and really didnt want to invest more than that.
It's just a matter of time till I reach petris!

Meso as of now:
Sold a perf clean wand 5 for 55m.
45c + 100m ish.

Raffles/Gachas:
16 common, 3 rare.
20 raffles.

I kinda wanna hoard gachas until like 100, raffles will be redeemed when event ends.

Long way to go, but it seems quite ok for now
This event has been a huge help!

 

Couldn't wait any longer and had to gach & raffle.

34 gach -> bow att 30%, shield matk 30% and that's about it :/
105 raffles -> 30 coins, 6x css 20%, 2x css 3%, purple adv. cape 8 matk.

Overall really depressing results I'd say.

Around 275m + 76c.
Still waiting for 8/5 BWG to sell.

F/P is now lvl 152.

Wanted to gamble some on scrolling, it all boomed *sigh*, left with 30m and 89c now haha

 

Update!
Another week has passed, couldn't find much time to play as exams are happening right now.

Since I dedicate most of my time to study, I can only play for short intervals, rather than 2 hours straight.
Therefore, I can't sell leech - so I got back to my original method of making money : SCROLLING!
This time around I could get back on my feet, sold the remaining 89c and used them all on creating items,
which then sold for a nice profit!

Did a few zak,pap,CWK runs.
I also did some nightghosts farming, got 1.2k foxtails etc and 1.5k ish of nightghosts etc -> 0 value after exchanging.
However I did get some nice value:
2x OA int 70%
4x cape int 70%
2x helm int 30%
5x dagger att 30%
10 gach (8 normal 2 rare) -> got shield MATK 70%, eye int 30%.

STATUS:
(money):
108m + 261c + 32x css 20%.
Still waiting for offers on 8/5 BWG.

839k NX, lvl 1.


Slowly but surely I am making progress!

Forgot to let you guys know, I tried some earring int 10% scrolling, I'm at 0/40 right now HAHA, I hope it doesn't happen on my WS10 scrolling

For sure it wasn't an easy decision to go through it all again (and WASHED this time), but after deep thinking,
I concluded that I just love this class, and I wanna go all in.
By the way, that's precisely the reason why I didn't go timeless.

Update !

It's been quite some time since I updated here, I've been busy with university and life in general.
I sold some leech and card hunting service, got some really nice income!
I also farmed quite a lot on nightghosts, exchanged about 9k etc WITHOUT ANY BWG which is mental.
All these brought me to about 40 gach tickets, in which I finally, after about 1 year, got a chaos scroll!



Of course I had to resist REALLY REALLY hard in order not to use it for myself, but I just couldn't exchange to a coin pouch.
Therefore - I sold service!

After farming for quite some time, I got to a really nice amount of coins:
470 shiny, beautiful coins.

However, since I got a chaos, I couldn't resist and started gambling with scrolling.
The results were awful, I almost lost everything, but then, I managed to hit 2 nice items:
23 int bathrobe (M)
9 dex mask

Those items should be sold for around 1.1b together, and along with my liquid meso and scrolls, I'm only at about 70-80c loss.
Sad, but those are the risks we're taking as gamblers!
Also, since my future remade bucc is still not that close to be played (lvl 1 haha), I'm not in a rush to finish the knuckle.
I thought I should have some fun, and not be so strict with myself, as I'll prob burn myself out quite easily.

Future bucc: still wearing diapers as a baby lvl 1.

It's time for another update !

Finally managed to find some time to play!
Since the last update here, I've been trying to save some money without gambling.
I did notice that I enjoy the most doing CWKPQ content, however it's quite tough for a bucc to get into those runs.
I don't have a bishop to dp mage, and I'm also not the greatest class to cleave, which puts me in kind of a weird spot.
Still trying to figure out what's the best strategy for a bucc to cleave, so if you guys have any idea - I will be grateful to hear !

I also zakked a few times, but mostly I was farming nightghosts + dark cloud foxtails for Showa Town exchange quest.
I was really lucky with the nightghosts drops (4k dark foxtails etc farmed):
4x cfa 30%
3x helm int 30%
3x oa int 70%
2x dagger att 30%

I was also selling some leech, and some card hunting service (which is really nice money), but I noticed that leafre cards are not worth selling.
The rates were quite awful in leafre, so I don't think I'll sell there ever again haha.
However, combining the nightghosts farming and the card hunting, I got 29 gach tickets, so you know what's coming now!

Was honestly amazed with the results, and couldn't have asked for more!

- 31x css 20% - waiting for the right time to sell those.

Honestly, if my knuckle is done before the BWG sells - might as well use the 8/5 for myself.

When should I start lvling my baby bucc ?
How much NX should I have before starting to lvl him ?
How much int gear should I aim for before I start lvling him ?
Hopefully I don't mess it up - sigh.

Update!

Hello everyone,
Another week has passed since the last update, and another month has passed since the last ws10 scrolling session.
This week I focused more on bossing (zak,rav,pap daily), and farming some nightghosts.
Finally sold the 23 int bathrobe that I made back then, and I managed to accumulate 500 coins, which means 6 ws10 attempts (got ws from gach back then).
Since I probably won’t be active during the next few weeks (irl stuff), I thought about slamming those 6 ws10 attempts.
Since the last ws10 session, I’m at 0/44 regular 10% passes, so I decided to go for a different approach this time - no dummy.
Just a straight up ws10 slamming on my knuckle.
Moreover, I ran some Binomial Distribution (the probability to get k successes out of n attempts) calculations, figured out it’s not that bad as I thought:



As you can see, theres almost 47% to pass at least 1 time.

Honestly, with the way it all goes, I’m really thinking about keeping the 8/5 for myself.
If I manage to maintain this pace, I could be done even without selling the gloves. Maybe it’s all for the best haha
