All classes except for corsairs benefit from fresh washing. Warriors and buccs benefit the most due to the HP gain skills they have, while for thieves and archers it’s only a difference of 2 more HP per wash. Corsairs will get a flat 18HP per wash no matter what type of wash you use, so it is better to save fresh AP for any potential MP washing you will be doing. It also allows you to get the needed MP for washing first and get rid of all your base int to have a playable character while slowly using stale washing to get your desired HP, significantly cutting down on the “unplayable” time for washing

 

I have a Mac, so no sticky keys. Should I bother trying to make a sair

 

I would suggest to try and do something along the lines of bootcamp to emulate windows on your mac. Also do note that MAC users usually have to wait a bit on this server every time there is a large patch because staff takes longer to release the mac download compared to the windows download.

At least 19K + for fight pb without hb. but u said 16.75K+ is enough. So, as a noob, bit confused and wanna recheck. thx in advance.

2. Is it okay to use dex scrolled overall instead of str scrolled one?

 

My guide uses "BASE HP" at level 160. This is your HP when your character is naked. After you get all the HP gears available in the game (Monster book ring, pet equips, etc), you should be able to get ~2k more hp. Furthermore, for pinkbean you will need to level at least to 180 to be somewhat useful, which is essentially another ~500 hp.



If you are using HTP and a scarlion helm, you will have ~400 wdef from that alone. Even if you use MoN its still possible to reach 300 weapon defense from your other gear. So if you follow the 16.75k guide properly, you should be able to tank the bigbang without hb assuming you are at least level 180 and have farmed the proper HP gear.

Its fine to use dex scrolled overall, but you may need higher base strength if your other gears don't provide enough str.

How do you make up the STR you lose from changing from STR OA to avoid OA?

 

you can't. you either use a str overall alone, or have a dex OA that you can switch to an avoid one.

 

The old damage vs survivability debate

 

is avoid optimal when grinding 7f or is it better to have dex/str gear?

 

I've never played a pirate before so I started off by following this guide.
The guide mentions not to put any points into flash fist at first job, but then you can't do the 2nd job advancement because you can't hit the mobs without flash fist...

 

Nevermind this! I realized I accepted the wrong quest, which was for the brawler instead of the gunslinger.

HI guys! just got my outlaw to 120 and im a sair now!
the ship is currently hard to handle for me (jump > ship > torpedo > ship > jump), as im grinding with the torpedo and need to constantly demount.
can you guys share your keyboard layout so i can try some different variations?

I'm still in the process of changing up my keyboard settings but this is what I currently have:



Control = air strike , ship ship
Alt = octopus ship ship
Space = cannon, cannon , cannon
End = recoilshot wings
x = mount
D = ship

One thing i don't like about my current settings is that pick up is far away on O. Also although not shown here, i usually use q for grilled cheese when zerking at pink bean, and 4 is for ciders.

I mostly made these changes to make multiclient easier (triple cannon macro gives you a second or so of free attacking while you swap to another client).

 

For the avoid meta section you should include blue sauna robe for the free +10 avoid it gives

Stale washing has the same expected gain as fresh washing for a sair (18 for every stale wash, versus 16-20 for a fresh wash) so I'd assume you will be stale washing the entire time and using your fresh AP just for mp washing as necessary.
