Sry in advance for the dumb question but can we replace some of the base int in the hp washing section with +int from gear?

Like in the guide it says:
    1. Increment base int until you have 330 base int
    2. MP wash ~214 times
    3. Reset all base int at level 160 (326 resets required)
    4. HP Wash 691 times
Is it possible to get say 280 base int and then +50 int from gear and reach the same MP gain in step 2 and same HP gain in step 4? Or does MP wash just not work that way?

INT from Equips or Maple Warrior does not affect gains from MP Washing at all. Converting the 50 INT from base to equips for 214 washes would result in 1070 less MP, or 66 fewer washes.

I'd suggest to add at least 1 point into this once you start fighting bosses that can cast seduce.

I found that maxing sommersault kick after double shot and dash is way better than maxing bullet time in first job. You don't need the avoid from bullet time until much later and max sommersault kick is really useful when you can't create distance while grinding.

Hi, I loved your guide, but I have a question, I have a goal of reaching 20 - 25 k hp clean but I don't know how to calculate the amount of int base/mp washing that I need to reach that amount? I plan to put 450 points in base int and then do mp wash up to lvl 150 but I don't know exactly how much hp that will give me, Could someone tell me how to calculate this?

Shit that makes me feel better. I've been pushing for months for a goal that was 76% efficiency and defeated I just wrote it off as impossible without more upgrades. Although I've come within 200k dpm of that goal, once. Consistently hitting around 65% efficiency in my private 6 man runs

Most of this guide is outdated. The numbers i posted in the guide are from back when each part of HT would constantly spam attacks, which meant every class had a lower dummy dpm %. Also factor in that everyone also had worse gear (power creep) which means defense reductions were higher.

Nowdays it is possible to get a much higher efficiency % due to TL weapons/armor, facestompers, mw30 and a slower attack speed from horntail.

Do you have any information on grilled cheese zerking for corsairs? I heard about this a while ago but I can't seem to find any information about it. Apparently you are supposed to keep your MP as low as possible so your pet can autopot cheese to keep your HP low for 1/1's, since pets heal MP first or maybe they don't autopot HP. Is this a viable strategy or should I just wash for more MP assuming I will hit 30k HP?

I ask because I have reached a pivotal point in my corsair's career and wondering if I should just go for a few thousand more MP.

This has to do with how the auto mp / hp mechanic works in this version of the game. You can only set it in 5% increments. So you can set auto mp at its lowest usable setting to 5% (0% just won't trigger when you want it to most of the time). If you want auto mp pot to use your grilled cheese efficiently, after hit by a 1/1 attack, you need 5% of your mp to be less than 500. SO you need less than 10k max MP.

If you have more mp than this, 1/1 will hit you, and auto pot will trigger. Then when you attack (which uses mp) auto mp will trigger again and use another grilled cheese, which is not ideal if you are trying to zerk and maintain as low as possible hp. Though this can be circumvented by just manual potting, it does make the process harder. So if this ends up being a big concern to you, then just make sure you keep your mp below 10k.

Personally I don't think its a huge issue, because 1) you likely do not want to run pink bean (the only boss where this is relevant) as a corsair, and 2) having more mp is always nice quality of life for other bosses and farming.

    Hello from 2025!

This post frequently comes up in Google searches when players are learning about washing a Corsair. The original post suggests washing to 16.75k HP. It's mostly recommend nowadays that you wash to 30k HP. Just wanted to call this out, as I've seen a few folks anchor on that original number.

What has changed since this post was written?

    1. The game now includes the HP Challenges feature, an alternative to Washing that allows characters (especially those on their first play through) to be able to participate in most if not all end-game content. The largest impact here is that a.) it's now commonly suggested for first characters to do the challenges, while saving NX on a second account in order to make a washed character in the future, and b.) it no longer makes sense to wash to lower thresholds, as the gains at lower HP thresholds will be surpassed by the challenges.

    2. The community has widely accepted that the Minimum HP Required for major bosses isn't always the best threshold. There are many, many different opinions as to what are the ideal thresholds, but generally the recommended Recommended HP for major bosses has increased.

    3. As the server has grown older, more and more players are washing to higher thresholds. Most notable, a significant amount of those washing are now aiming for 30,000 HP.

Read more about what's changed over the years in regards to washing.

Thanks for this comprehensive guide! Do you know if the HP wash section is still up-to-date?
