3rd job Zakum Theory Crafting Question

    Was wondering if any theory crafters out there had any opinions on the following setup for a 3rd job zakum:


    ARMS
    -Chief Bandits just attempt to bomb the lower zakum arms
    -All other jobs try to take down the top arms
    -Goal to just take down arms as fast as possible to reduce pot burn.

    BODY
    -Chief Bandits bomb and drop mesos
    -Hermit and Marauder attempt to drop mesos throughout the uptime of body via darksight and barrel.
    -Chief Bandits unequip/equip meso mag to bomb the Hermit and Marauder mesos at some point
    -All others classes just whack the body?


    Idk much about Marauder and avoid, I assume they should just aim to have the highest avoid possible via equips?

    Any other ideas are welcomed!

    2x Priest (one per side to help heal the whole team less pot burns)
    2x Spearman (HB 24/7)
    Are the minimum requirements.

    After that we're looking at top Arms cleavers being rangers/sniper/outlaws/hermits
    iirc Hermits with avenger can range both sides of arms on top (might need testing) so they're going to farm that part 24/7 until dead.

    And bottom mostly made out of Buccs and warriors possibly cleaving the most amount of arms (mid or bot) while CBs start dropping and exploding mesos the most possible.

    When arms are out all go <<<<
    IL mage to mob the spawned flying mobs on top and on bottom/mid all the others firing 24/7.

    Then timer goes out and you have to redo it all.

    Else just exit after arms done to get xp.

    Now that I think about it, Marauders probably just drop meso for arms as well.

    Also probably need to utilize amorian basket for avoid. :writing:

    So I think 1 party would need to be compromised of droppers + heal.

    If a marauder in the pt, then the pt now requires HB as I assume a Marauder can tank the body hit with HB (not sure if any Hp challenges needed for this).

    Then if that pt is full, a hermit might just become a regular attacker, so it doesn’t accidentally die in dark sight from pet derping and no heal.

    i think aside from priests for heal, this becomes a warrior only slogfest

    Don't count on barrel for much if boss is actually attacking. Barrel breaks upon taking damage, which I would not expect to avoid. Focus on utilizing stance instead if going that route.

    destroying the cursed arm first can be a good bet, I don't have many memories of pre 4th job bosses, but there are some videos

    Not too much to add I think?

    As many Chief Bandits + Hermits as you can get (CB boom and Hermits drop mesos)

    Priests heal

    DrKs for HB, spawned mobs (Roar) and cleave

    Any other classes can just their thing for as much extra damage as possible.

    The CB's and Hermits having as much Avoid equips as possible might be useful so they can keep the drop/boom rate steady?

    Precisely timed 1 time fury before summons fly away + crusher spam was enough to deal with summons.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I know, CB's can't blow up other player dropped meso's, only self/party-killed meso drops and self-dropped mesos.

    Shads and Bombing in PB | MapleLegends Forums - Old School MapleStory < looks like some pog shads discovered that if you do the pet thing as the OP mentioned you can bomb other ppl's meso.
    I actually think we should keep the dropping job with Shads most of the time (maybe except during weapon cancels). I feel like people wouldn't enjoy the experience if they're going just to drop mesos for a CB.
    But I definitely agree we should split the costs and I agree that the priest/dk will be necessary at least for the first few runs on CB's party. This is gonna make things much easier and safer to us (imagine dying without ress on 1h ish run).
    Oh and specially because I'm used to play on a high hp NL so I assume I'll have a bad time to drop mesos close to zak body LOL
