So, let's see where we're at!? Based on our previous entries, I've updated our goals, and created new medium-term ones for the next few weeks...

What are our long-term goals

What are our medium-term goals?

• Join a regular Horntail group (0 of 1)
• Upgrade Night Lord's dummy dpm (6.52m of 9m)
• Level up F/P to 1-hit Petri (1140 of 1255) - Updated
• Level up I/L to 1-hit Ulu2 (850 of 951) - New!
• Level up Sharp Eyes mule (120 of 129) - Updated
• Calculate the EV of ten multi-mage maps (0 of 10) - New!

 

Let's do it! Next up: time to test the EV of various maps!

 

It's just an arbitrary target I'd selected. Technically, an SE mule only needs to be 129, but around 136 is when I should hit my MP goals to wash to 30k HP. Most likely I'll keep leveling it further in order to get some surplus MP for quality of life.

But now that you mention in, I'll update the goals to pull down that target from 136 to 129, as I'll likely end up parking the SE mule at that level for a while. Thank you!

 

Entry #35 - RL

Wheaties, Whisp and the amazingly friendly crew over in Duds started a great Discord channel around their 2024 in-game + real-life goals. Since this is my journal, and I do what I want, we'll be posting updates here as well! So...

What are our 2024 real-life goals?

Entry #36 - Patience

We had a nice little surprise yesterday. While at work, there was a lot of chatter in the Reset discord. End ups, Forest of Patience <Stage 6> from the active event was handing out raffle tickets like a fire sale. Unfortunately, I was only able to get online for the last two hours. The best part was all the market speculation happening during that time period. Many folks were worried about the pcoin price tanking. However, as someone who tried to buy the dip at 3m... pcoin prices are surprisingly resilient, and they rebounded back up to 3.2m only a few hours later.

Profit: 28 Prestigious Coins

 

Entry #37 - Timer

Can we make a tool to help time map rotation with the spawns?

I'll often miss spawns or break rotation because I wasn't paying attention. This is especially true for leeching/multi-maging on multiple channels. So we did what any reasonable person would do, and wrote a tiny little website to display a looping 10 second timer. I've put the link to download the .html file below. Just download both files, and open in a web browser. At some point I'll throw it up on a web server but I've got raffle tickets to farm this week!

Entry #38 - DPM #2

Checking in on our Night Lord. We've been busy with our multi-mages, so we don't have a lot of progress to report. We upgraded a few items of equip, so our Base DEX is down to 31. The current Lunar New Year event's rings have allowed us to swap our DEX earrings for LUK earrings. We're now hitting 25k crits, which feels good!

I wanted to get an updated DPM recording, as baseline before our next large purchase: upgraded gloves, and a new cape...

We're looking at 1b of upgrades here! Last night Zo0py was nice enough to sell me a 7 att pink gaia cape for 450m, and I'm in the market for 14 attack brown work gloves, which should be around ~550m.

Funny enough, after these upgrades, the next best items I would be able to buy (including gear at a 1:7 attack to stat, and resell value of current items) are all in the ballpark of 250m per attack gained.

Compare that to 5-6F leech, which is currently 100m/level. Trying to decide if I'm ready to drop some serious meso on leech as my next best upgrade?

 

Great point! If we value exp at 1:3.2, then that can be accounted for when estimating our HT EV.

 

Entry #39 - Science

So, there are these quests called The Committee Challenges. This series of 3 quests has two chances for scroll of Overall Armor for INT 30%, and 1 chance for Gloves for Attack 30%. The only catch? The ETC's are an absolute pain to acquire:

1. Sabitrama's Life Work (Level 85 and above): Stone Golem Rubble x 100, Dark Stone Golem Rubble x 100, Sealed Teddy Bear x 100
2. The Committee Challenges: Lazy Buffy's Marble x 200
3. The Father of Modern Science: Dual Pirate's Propeller x 500

I thought, wouldn't it be fun to do these quests on all of my characters? With special thanks to kiwiz for farming Dual Ghost Pirates, we did this quest line seven times. In summary? While Golem Rubble and Dual Pirate Propellers are easier to acquire than I though, Lazy Buffy Marbles are the worst.

Results:

• 0x Gloves for Attack 30%
• 5x Gloves for DEX 30%
• 8x Overall Armor for INT 30%,
• 1x Power Elixir.

 

The chance for GFA 30% deceived me. Legend says no one has ever gotten GFA from Dr. Kim.
