Accepted A better Mark of the Squad

    Somewere post Big-Bang they made entering HT's cave a bit easier. They made is to if you had the Mark of the Squad you could enter the cave whenever you wanted as well as skipping the PQ.

    This would make entering the cave way less panful and would make the Mark of the Squad quest more important since as it is now, only one person (usually the host) needs it to skip their party inside.
    You still need to enter the cave once to get the quest, and enter a second time to do the pq so you can get the item.
    If we have this we could turn Manon spawn back to the original timer perhaps o.o.
    As it is right now in the original maple they jsut got rid of the NPC all together making the Mark of the Squad just needed to not do the PQ.

    Imagine never having to spend 1hr + farming for HT prequest ETC everytime you want to enter cave. This is a hard yes from me.

    This would definitely be able to return manon timers to original. Although, I hate farming for daggers and such; I'm wondering if this change will lower the value of HT drops though.

    No idea sorry.I just knew this was added and that later on they completely removed the NPC making the mouth of the cave a portal.
    I think it was somewhere around after Demon Slayer was added, but before jobs like Xenon were added.

    Looking more into it I discovered they also made the mark a needed item for the host to being abple to HT, like CWKPQ right now.

    Eitherways by removing the NPC and making the mark needed to host the boss or my making the NPC let you go in if you have the mark would end this endless prequest cicle. I think no one that kills HT regularly likes how the transfomration potion works, having to repeat the quest again and again, camping manon, farming the dagger once more. If anything this could leave people more freedom if they get the mark (a quest that forces you to do the elixer twice and makes you do the PQ) so they can come in and out at will; no more people locking themselves in the cave, smugling pots,eqips.. and all because you have to repeat the same grindy quest again.

    I agree. If not, can we buff the drop rate of the marrow and dagger. In my experience, the dagger takes a lot longer to farm and could range from minutes to hours depending how lucky you are. It's such a huge time sink on top of camping manon.

    Wym guys i love spending anywhere from 5 minutes to 3 hours doing an annoying questline just to kill a dragon for 4 hours, I also love it when *REDACTED* has to farm a dagger and skins 5 minutes before the run and we can't go without them because they're a bishop. But real talk if we only had to do horntail prequest like the first time we did horntail that would be the greatest quality of life change, like we got reduced boat timers do we really need this annoying prequest to slap a dragon.

    • Kill Horntail to skip Elixir Quest
    • Badge skips HTPQ

    Makes badge useless / or let it do something else.​

    It's actually pretty sad when you wait at Manon and see new level 120's coming in asking for Manon kills to advance because all the higher levels make em extinct just for the elixir.
    Always bothered me that there's a conflict in quests between 4th Job adv and Dragon Elixir.

    Thing is, even if we get rid of the quest Manon still will be a boss that will be killed a lot since it drops good books like: Holy Shield 30, Super Transformation 20 and well has the sickest chair from all the bosses!
