    Sorry y'all imma bowdu blow some steam here but
    god damn do I hate this class.
    After playing it for 4 years and running 30 man Pink Bean, Zak, 12 man HT, 10 man HT, 6 man HT as sed target, 6 man HT as an attacker, this class absolutely blows.

    DAMAGE
    People love damage, and nothing will change that. This class (due to zerk) has horrendously inconsistent damage.
    "oh you accidentally potted twice?" good bye damage
    "oh you potted at the wrong time so now you healed a little too much"? good bye damage
    "your bishop has never run with a dk before?" good bye damage

    Paladins have the best single target damage along with the longest horizontal range out of all three warriors

    Heroes have awesome cleave and can use panic if they want to maximize their single target dpm

    Dks? what do Dks get? they get afk hero cleave damage. How much effort do they put in to not die and stay at optimal zerk range compared to the other classes? a metric shit ton more that's for sure
    and the minute the Dk stops zerking its over. A paladin (supposedly the worst cleave out of all three warriors) using charge blow will out dpm a non zerking Dk.

    Dks are supposed to be about risk and reward but at the moment there is no reward

    SURVIVABILITY

    If you have laggy internet or a bad pc you can kiss your ass goodbye.
    you lag for a second and your pet fails to pot you while you were at optimal zerk range? dead
    you lag for a second while in active hyperzerk?
    dead
    you got poisoned during active hyperzerk and a greensnail touched you?
    dead
    you couldn't see that bean turned left and big banged while you were zerking?
    dead
    your eye got itchy while you were zerking in ht?
    dead
    your dog farted and you looked over to check wth that shit was?
    dead
    you're tired as fuck after work and you close your eyes for a second during ht?
    dead

    UTILITY AND CLEAVE

    People say DKs have great utility due to providing HB, being able to hit 6 mobs with fury, and power crash.
    with the Hp challenges out, Dks are no longer needed as you can run HT without hb now on all ranged classes. So it went from being a necessity for some people, to an optional buff.

    A shit ton of mobs just came outa HT's Horntussy? its aight just use fury and hit six mobs. Except fury is absolute dog water due to being a swing attack and your bishop down there should be clearin the wyverns anyway. The only time fury has utility is when you are being brain dead and sitting in 7f with a psb.

    power crash is cool though you save so many pots!
    but where on earth have you seen a Dk ever use power crash outside of cwk?
    zak? nah the bishop got it (and why tf are you power crashing when you should be cleaving)
    ht? nah the bishop got it ( why tf are you power crashing when you should be cleaving)

    Meanwhile the other two warriors have better options in their arsenal compared to dks
    The bishop died and left arm is casting armor up? should've had a hero that has armor crash
    need a pin for nameless? call the heroes so they can armor crash that shit
    need someone for auf? fuck the dks call the heroes and paladins
    flying mobs in nt? fuck the dks get the heroes and paladins to stun them bitches

    Dumb thoughts
    Why is it that despite DKs arguably having the longest weapon they have the same range as brandish which uses a shorter weapon and have a shorter horizontal range than blast that also uses a shorter weapon than a spear or a polearm.

    TLDR: Fuck this class Alyosha was right it's ass past 150 and is not an endgame class
    A focusing DK basically does hero afk damage
    there is no reward to the risk and reward system
    Don't make dks unless you're using them to farm or as hb mules

    If there was a cost or opportunity cost for AP Resets, DK would be in a much better situation.
    It's the easiest class to HP wash, and more people will need Hyper Body.

    Have you considered switching to a LUK DK build? I heard that they are very useful in HT and pink bean.

    I wouldnt say no to increasing berserk dmg multiplier drastically, higher effort things should give greater results. Same with corsair boat vs AFK NL

    More damage isn't gonna result in much when they're dead for 75% of the fight. I'd much rather see them be a little more safe to play. (Probably subjective, but the risk part is what deters me from playing dk, not the low reward for taking said risk)

    I think you forgot some other points too.

    like that DK relies on both SE AND SI for maximum dpm (and haste if on HT right side), meaning in HT your ideal composition is: SE, SI, HS, Haste, and then HB, meaning there is only 1 real flex spot. This means that in 99% of the cases, you won't be getting all the buffs you need to reach full dpm in HT.

    also you forgot to mention that DK don't have the option to swap to 1hand weapon when there is no SI, unlike pallies and heros.

    also....DK is super popular as first class to make. Leaving DKs in a bad state like this is really bad for player retention. Over the years, i've seen a ton of people work hard to level up DK and then realize later on that DK is not good for end-game bosses, and a lot of them just quit or remake (and then still quit because they feel discouraged)

    If DK was made more safe and no other changes were made to damage, would they be a good class in the meta? My vote would still be on no since it would still be just HB utility that differentiates it from paladin and hero. Not being "able" to run core is also a huge hit, although that's maybe a tangent. To clarify, I'm not against lowering risk, but if the reward isn't there I can't ever see myself playing the class. On the other hand, I would 100% pick it up if the reward was there but risk was unaltered, although this would admittedly be a more niche position. That said, I think DK is just doomed to be in the same boat as sair (no pun intended), which is to say that even if you made it a good class it would never be very popular simply by the non-afk nature of the class.

    also LF> huge hyperzerk synergy with smoke.

    Why is cleave in HT?

    Currently Zerk (at the lowest point of hp a dk can sit at) provides a 120% buff to overall damage. Something that has been floating around in my head was what the effects of moving thresholds up to a higher point of hp would do. My proposal would have been for zerk to increase damage by 100% at 100% hp with it increasing by every percent of hp the dk loses to a maximum of 150% damage increase at 50% of the Dks max hp. This of course would never happen. But would allow Dks the option to play safely while keeping the “risk and reward” system in their kit should they wish to go above and beyond and manage their hp instead of afking.
