Summer Event Balance Changes and Bug Fixes

    Boss Changes

    • Horntail is now coded to be more GMS-like, with each seduce having a separate timer (as it was in original GMS). This means separate cooldowns for left/right/jump/mass left/mass right seduce.
    • Horntail arm aggro range reverted.
    • Bosses in general (eg. Horntail, Zakum, Scarlion, Targa, etc) are coded to be more GMS-like
      • Skills can only be cast every 3 seconds
      • Each skill has a separate timer (noted by the seduce change)
      • Magic cancel cannot be cast while in weapon cancel and vice versa (should fix consecutive cancels)
    • Improved aggro, to once again, be more GMS-like
      • Aggro can change once every few seconds for non-auto aggro mob & bosses (should no longer constantly switch aggro targets, and therefore less sliding)
      • Improved auto-aggro targeting/attacking (where it will start targeting when you are in aggro range, opposed to just being in the map)
    • Multiclienting at bosses re-enabled
    Bug Fixes
    • Speed Infusion bug fixed, where mages were able to benefit from the skill (note in GMS, SI never worked on mages as attack speed was calculated based off casting speed and not weapon speed - which SI directly targets "Uses HP and MP to temporarily increase the attacking speed of a weapon")
    • Holy Shield bug fixed, where mages were able to Holy Shield to prevent seduce (note in GMS, Holy Shield only cured debuffs and status effects "Temporarily provides all of the party members a buff that prevents them from suffering any abnormal status", and seduce is neither a debuff or a status effect, hence unable to be dispelled)
    Skill Changes
    • Critical Throw for assassins reverted (crit chance reverted to 50% along with crit damage reverted to 200%)
    • Marksman expert reverted (reverted to 90% mastery and 10 weapon attack)
    • Buccaneer avoidability formula reworked
    • Heaven's Hammer damage reduced for bosses from 199k to 50k (skill still works in full effect doing 199k to mobs)
    • Paralyze buffed from 240% to 290% basic attack
    • Chain Lightning buffed from 210% to 260% basic attack
    • Angel Ray buffed from 240% to 340% basic attack
    Miscellaneous Changes
    • Based off the one-of-a-kind boss equip discussions, we've adjusted NPCable ETC prices dropped from Zakum, Horntail, Neo Tokyo bosses & mobs
      • Zakum Diamond = 500,000 mesos
      • Nine Spirit's Egg = 300,000 mesos
      • Magic Monster Horn (Dunas) = 100,000 mesos
      • Magic Monster Claw (Nameless) = 100,000 mesos
      • Nibergen Reactor = 100,000 mesos
      • Vergamot Oil Tank = 100,000 mesos
      • Neo Tokyo mobs = 1.95 * level of the mob
    • Zakum Diamond now NPCable (still untradeable however)

    Please do note these are massive changes, which always can have bugs or problems. Please do report issues or problems if you've found any!

    This is only the changes related to balance.

    (meme-ing btw. I do agree HH mules are a silly idea and paladins were kinda OP in HT. Idk about the severity of the nerf, but that will be something the community can discuss)

    Hi Maple Legends. Can we also get 2x exp coupons since GMS had that too? We were able to stack 2x exp coupons with 2x exp events to get at least 4x exp in GMS.

    Are the NPCable etc prices applied to future drops or existing drops? Does this mean that the people who've hoarded those etc drops are now millions of mesos richer over night?

    So why do we hate paladins so much. I'm a weak pally. Gimme a break.. I understand this is to stop multiclienting pally mules, but shouldn't there be other changes besides wrecking pally mains?

    And Holy Shield says it prevents any abnormal status. Seduce is an abnormal status so why change the way holy shield works?

    I mean HH is how they keep up competitively, e.g., at CWK. Now their cleave damage will probably be the lowest for cwk, period.

    If you are going to nerf HH damage from 200k to 50k you might as well revert it back from 15 seconds to 10 seconds, why nerf it twice.
    You are going from 4 cast a min at 200k to 4 cast a min at 50k -> 800k to 200k.
    Change it to 10 seconds which is 6 cast a min at 50k -> 300k.

    Also find it surprising that instead of applying the -1% dmg reduction per level to HH we just flat out reduced HH by 150k. Most HH mules are like 13x-14x, surely a flat -1% reduction per level difference to HT similar to how it is with all other attacks would be a sufficient nerf to mules without damaging pally mains?

    Obv you can argue that people will just level HH mules to 160 - but that's a massive investment in itself and if they want to do that then they should be rewarded for it.

    I'm confused by the whole "note in GMS" part. I thought this was suppose to be a private server where everything should be easier but still get the old MS feel? O_O is this maple legends or GMS now?
