Can you elaborate a bit more on why level 200 players can't participate? They should still be able to boss right?

When a big portion of a boss reward is the exp, lv 200s effectively don't get this reward. So, as a level 200 player, I am only incentivized by a meso reward.

For example, a HT run might give me on average 10m splits for a 6man run. However, you would also get ~80m exp. So, for a non level 200 player, they get 10m meso, and 80m exp, but as a level 200 player I only get 10m mesos.

Normally this isn't an issue, but now lets say I have the option of farming skeles on my mage and earn 20m / hr. For the non level 200 player, doing HT is still decent because they are earning exp AND mesos. (if you convert exp to meso at 1:5 leech rates, they are actaully earning 26m / run) But for me, a level 200 player there is no economic incentive to run HT if I have other options that vastly outperform the meso return.

I'll bet you 500 mesos that Neckson's spaghetti code associated "you've used the current ring this many times" variable to your character than the item, so the ring can't be traded no matter what

Not really biased, but a little known fact. If you want to fully understand how an Archer feels at CWK exchange, complete 1 round without using Pogstrike or recoil shot.

I can try again. However, on my first attempt with my BM, lvl 191 with pretty decent gear, this was my result:
Needless to say, it was highly demotivating. I can re-test it again for the sake of gathering more data on archers as well as rewards being revamped (BTW ty staff!). I've been meaning to test badge farming with puppet again, but the aggro range on the mobs are so short it renders puppet ineffective.

If we want to compare lower levels, MarcCMarcC (lvl 167 corsair) and PepperPepper (lvl 152 bowmaster) takes approximately 75 mins and 120+ mins, respectively. Those 15 levels in difference shouldn't account for a 45+ mins variance in time.
Also, sorry for putting both of you on the spot. :p

For comparisons sake, FishyFishy (lvl 200 DK) takes approximately 90-120 mins to complete 1 cycle. Not throwing any jabs at Bryan, but it may be due to the fact that he's still relatively new to CWK exchange and hasn't found the most optimal path for farming badges yet. For corsairs, we've had spencil2spencil2 and JessJess pave the way. There's no denying, however, CWK exchange favors Corsairs since they have great mobility and pogstrike.

Nonetheless, thank you staff for taking the time to re-evaluate the drop table for CWK exchange. I'll start calling them savebanis rather than scambanis.

Amazing thread, glad for mods to stand their ground for the sweeper nerf love you

Im scared for a bossing rework, I want bossers to be rewarded, but make it so players don't just seek and destroy every boss from everyone else
As one of the earlier non-instanced bosses to farm are Anego/ HH/ Bigfoot/Samurai
the least i want is to be hunted by bored endgamers who dont want to do the actual big bosses and steal from early bossers
but also make it so early bossers who can/must grind on those bosses dont feel left out earlier

I dont know what you got planned, but maybe make it so players can only pick their bosses to hunt for their rewards, with a WEEKLY change limit.
Like, i dont know what rewards have planned, either be NX or gacha, but maybe make it so people can only see it from 2 bosses they grind so an early bosser could pick, anego and HH while later bossers can pick bigger rewards from PB, HT

Either way, amazing thread, thank you Staff

I believe the bossing is in reference to big bosses: zak, ht, verga, pb, etc. Aka instanced bosses

''The idea we arrived at is one that we think would be fair for players of all level ranges and not just cater to less than 1% of players.''

I am thinking of early bossers too
considering all bosses you mentioned with the obvious exception of zakum are basically gated for most classes without HP-wash
So only warriors are non-washer bossers, mages aren't PRIMARILY bossers, and the attackers who wash exist but are a very very low %

I mean, I guess it could include thoses bosses? But generally non-instanced bosses already have decent drops and aren't really considered part of the bossing problem. Its really about the ones where you are getting a party together and taking a mesos loss in pots that would make sense to me. Bigfoot and Headless Horseman are part of quest lines that give good exp and are the only ones I can think of that really don't drop anything. These are also bosses that aren't super hard to kill once you reach that level. Mages can kill Anego pretty easy and yellow snowshoes are still worth a hefty amount. Plus a lot of world-spawn bosses drop scrolls and other items, and don't require a party to kill. I would be interested to see why they would even add anything to them as-is. But you never know.

early attackers like Archers // Sairs have on their grinding as they level SE without leech
to grind on Anego // HH // BF until level 130 , but all hardly drop anything useful, and is a loss of meso, which is why most people just leech or grind since there's a lack of gach or profit from bossing

Those area bosses are definitely not in the radar of "bossing". Anego even has yss, so I'm not sure what you are talking about there. Area bosses are an entirely different domain, and people really dont need more incentive to go camp anego, bf, etc. It makes more sense to look towards rav/pap/maybe even scarga b1+2 for examples of low level bossing content.

I'll be straight I'm hugely in favor of making cwk much easier personally i'm a fan of 25 all or 30 at very least but seeing as you guys somewhat acknowledge the eh drop rates *specifically WR* hopefully we can see more WS in the market in the near future.

I can’t 1shot roar nightshadows and Guardians, so those take up the most time. Everything else is quick. No offense taken tbh. Don’t think there’s many DKs participating in the raffle either. Corsair air strike 1shot is OP T_T.
I am glad that there was enough ppl actually giving back data/results to my thread. I am not new to it , I just gave up early on it. (I remember the old exchange before CWKPQ was released, and it was rough, including no castle maps open). But this is pretty dope

I think it’s generally not possible to make archers equal at the CWK exchange… they’re just inherently not that good at mobbing and have low mobility… we are making the process more rewarding for the exchange, but we can’t make BMs able to kill stuff around the map faster :/

maybe WR sellers can also sell badge service at the same time xD

why is there so much salt against 3 corsairs on the server farming a cwk exchange raffle in <70 mins

There are 3 lower levelled corsairs with posts:
Panda - 90 mins, not accounting for crimson hearts. Probably 105 mins if farming hearts (page 4)
    Danicu - 90 mins to 2 hrs (page 2)
    Marc - 75 mins (page 4)

and why is the comparison is being made to bowmasters, one of the worst mobbing classes in the game? Comparing one of the best farming classes (second to mages) to one of the worst farming classes doesn’t seem like a fair comparison to me.

seems like other mobbing jobs (shads, drks, mages??? idk about mages lol) are farming and exchanging in around the same time as it takes for corsairs without one hit capability. Not to mention that cleave also has the benefit of badge drops in cwkpq, which is pretty nuts considering that a portion of the exchange can be completed for them if they just cwkpq..

They are salty that an end game corsair with perfect items can farm only moderately worse than a naked lv 130 archmage.

    Pickpocket combined with hurricane. #-ovv2024

It's not salt against the top 3 sairs but more or less the class as a whole. Balance changes are being implemented every patch which always revolved around bossing (most importantly HT). Correct me if i'm wrong, but sairs have had their boat HP increased, battleship cannon dmg increase as well as number of octopuses increased/fixed. All to make them more competitive as single mob attackers.

As a BM main who stopped bossing, I wanted to continue progressing with my BM, so I tried grinding/farming at various maps. Once CWK exchange was introduced, I thought i'd give it a shot. It was underwhelming to say the least. I still CWK exchange since I find it fun (basically an all year round raffle); however, I had to switch to my DK (hovering around 90-110 mins depending on hearts).

I'm not asking Staff to make farming gods out of BMs, but at least make it somewhat competitive to other classes for us non bossing casuals. Some suggestions I have are:
    1. increasing vertical range for arrow rain/ arrow eruption - I don't think this should affect any other gameplay aside from cwk mobs
    2. increase the aggro range for cwk mobs so puppet has more utility
    /end rant
p.s. may I request 1 job change for my maple career from BM to Corsair

Why should classes be equal (or comparable) in their efficiency when farming, though? Hasn't Maple always been a game of 'class x is good at y' (except paladins, where y is 0)?

BMs are shit mobbers, always have and always will.
