[Guide] King Goblins Pre-Quest

Here's a detailed pre-quest guide to summoning the King Goblins in Korean Folk Town. Whether you're card hunting or farming NPC-able equips, these mobs are pretty easy to summon.

Spoiler: Starting the questline

Start the quest with Chumji in Korean Folk Town, on the west (left) side.
He'll ask you to get three items (Roasted Pork, Buckwheat Paste, and Rice Wine) which can only be retrieved by doing additional quests:

Spoiler: Roasted Pork & Buckwheat Paste

You'll be able to acquire Roasted Pork and Buckwheat Paste via the two brothers on either end of town. To kick off this questline, talk to Chil Sung on the west (left) side.

You'll basically have to go back and forth between the brothers four times before they finally can give you two of the items you need:


For these, you'll need a few ETCs that are dropped by the Hodori and Moon Bunny mobs:
4 Tiger Stamp

5 Pounder

Spoiler: Rice Wine

To get Rice Wine, you'll need to start by talking to Kong Ji in the middle of town.

She asks you to get a new pot from Grandma Yeon, but before you can do that, you have to help Grandma Yeon check on her husband Tae Gong who's out fishing in Aqua.

You can find his boat once you enter the well in KFT, then go one map left. He'll ask you to get 20 Shrimp Meat to give to his wife, which are dropped by Krips.

In reality, his wife actually prefers 20 Seal Meat, so you'll have to get those from Sparkers/Freezers.

After getting that over with, you can finally buy a new pot from Grandma Yeon.


Then, Kong Ji will ask you to extract 12 Artemisias

which can be done by hitting the small plants around Korean Folk Town.


Then, she'll have you head to the Top of Black Mountain and eliminate Blins to acquire a Steel Hoe.


After all that, she'll finally make some Rice Wine for you

once you acquire 3 Three-Tailed Foxtails.

Spoiler: Eliminating the King Goblins

Go back to Chumji on the left side of town and he'll teach you how to summon the King Goblins at the Haunted House accessible through the Top of Black Mountain.

Yellow King Goblin: drop the Roasted Pork on a stack of rocks to the right of the house.

Green King Goblin: drop the Buckwheat Paste inside a tree hole on the left side of the map.

Blue King Goblin: pour the Rice Wine into the stone lantern around the abandoned house.

And this is the short version for people who don't like as much text/images:​

1. Start with Chumji on the left side of KFT. You need these to summon the King Goblins: Roasted Pork, Buckwheat Paste, Rice Wine.​
2. Talk to the brothers (Chil Sung and Chil Nam) on both side of town and do their quests until you can finally trade in 4 Tiger Stamps and 5 Pounders in return for Roasted Pork and Buckwheat Paste.​
3. To acquire Rice Wine, start by talking to Kong Ji. She needs a new pot from Grandma Yeon, who'll ask you to find her husband Tae Gong who's out fishing in Aqua. After talking to Tae Gong, get 20 Shrimp Meat and 20 Seal Meat to give to Grandma Yeon.​
4. From there, Grandma Yeon will give you a new pot to give to Kong Ji. Kong Ji will ask you to extract 12 Artemisias which could be acquired by wacking some of the small herb-looking plants in the maps around town.​
5. After that, you'll go to the Top of Black Mountain to eliminate some Blins to get a Steel Hoe.​
6. Once that's done, she'll give you Rice Wine in return for 3 Three-Tailed Foxtails.​
7. Now that you have all three items (Roasted Pork, Buckwheat Paste, Rice Wine), talk to Chumji again. He'll teach you how to summon the three King Goblins.​
8. Head to the Top of Black Mountain, then to the Haunted House map. From there, you'll drop the Roasted Pork on the stack of rocks to the right of the house, drop the Buckwheat Paste inside a tree hole on the left side of the map, and pour the Rice Wine into the stone lantern around the house.​

You can acquire 1 Roasted Pork every 6 hours, 2 Buckwheat Paste every 12 hours, and 5 Rice Wine every 24 hours. Alternatively, you can easily buy these in FM or from friends if you're card hunting like me and don't want to wait however long to get the items.
