upcoming balance changes vibe check

I feel like there have been a bunch of changes in the past that were worth raising an eyebrow over, but in the long term I think the vast majority of changes either worked out for the best or were deemed acceptable.

All in all, I'm optimistic and mostly very curious! Keep it up staff, love y'all

 

I am Concerned because balance changes typically result in some kind of nerf to my gameplay (though that is what I deserve for always abusing the broken game mechanics). However, I'm Optimistic that we will be able to adapt to the changes and abuse new broken game mechanics after a few weeks. So overall, I would say that I am Neutral.

 

Am I the only one who does not know where to find the change log? Lol please someone help me out

I used to care. Balance changes and patches were always exciting. Filling out bingo cards was fun. But now I'm mostly neutral. It's not my game to try to steer in a direction that benefits me. I'm just here to play whatever is presented to me, and that perspective/approach has been sitting well with me lately. Will changes affect my game style? Maybe, but honestly I don't think I care much enough to get upset at this point.

 

As a main of the class thats been consistently scapegoated as all that is broken and abusable in this server, during the last couple years I went from concerned to neutral but only because I don't see how archmages could be further nerfed

I'm willing to bet all my coins that the TL / energy charge change will remain in the game, so I voted Concerned, although this is probably favorable for my plans to mule bucc in PB. Also I have zero faith in BT's ability to address DK farming without ordinary player collateral damage.

My playstyle is sitting in FM in chairs so I am Optimistic because there will be new chairs to sit on

Jokes aside, most of the recent balance changes the past few patches are from data driven decisions so even if I don't agree with them, at least there's data backing up why they do the things they do.

I doubt anything I care about will be buffed, and don't see how they could nerf me anymore in my gameplay. So I'm neutral

Ah yes, I remember all those recent BM nerfs, like - *checks notes* - Concentrate being immune to dispel in Christmas 2020? Just, so many BM nerfs recently, too hard to keep track of.
