I would love this. It would give purpose to a lot of the weaker quests and give us something more to do when grinding and bossing gets tiring.

 

I would support this as long as it purely adds ONLY hp.

No mp, accuracy, avoid, speed or jump. The purpose of this should be to lessen the server's hp washing need and actually make it somewhat optional, and make it so that a non washed ranged attacking character isn't useless at end game.

Also, I would like to note that a monster book ring and quest "equip" are very balanced with hp washing. They are both not easy to achieve, and in my opinion, it is actually harder to get 1000 hp from a monster book ring than it is to just hp wash. I think things should stay this way.

 

I'd be fully in support of this as a quester, though I think it should probably be handled similarly to the quest specialist medal in gms which gave +3 all stats for 800 quests completed, just with an additional hp boost to help with the washing issue.

The ring could be separated into 3 tiers:
300 quests completed (+1 all stat +100 hp/mp)
500 quests completed (+2 all stat +300 hp/mp)
800 quests completed (+3 all stat +600 hp/mp)

Asking for 1000 quests is a bit much for the average player imo when even the top ranked questers don't hit 1100, though 900 might be ok.

(fpbambo, crayo) alraedy have 950 and 1040 quests respectively, they dont even ask for a new feature for them, they just ask for a free item because they already have the quests done (feel free to check their quests stats in ranking)
what u said is exactly the problem with that, if u did that a good solution would need to be made

 

If thats really the case why do you disagree with a quest item that only adds HP and are really pushing for it to have stats too?

Meh, my quest count is at 200, I still support this. Sounds like a creative solution to HP washing problem, rewards dedicated players, not OP stats. Sure, it's free item for Bambo but it's free item for everyone too. Plus his main is FP, which doesn't really need HP, acc, avoid.

EDIT: Also, careful with your examples. FPBambo and Crayo have high quest count, but there are also other people in support who were not mentioned. Selective statistic isn't very persuasive.

Besides, no suggestions would be good enough if we always look at who benefits and who doesn't. We need to look at how it benefits the server as a whole instead.

 

I'll be the first to admit there's some bias in me supporting, as I already have 1k+ quests. But I'm also ok with the ring being purely HP, and that doesn't mean alot to me as a warrior. The main purpose of the ring should be to show off how much you've quested, same as monster book ring. The stats are bonus for dedication in completing content and if you're going to add anything to help alleviate the need of HP washing for range characters, why not have it be related to one of the biggest systems of content? Even if it had stats, anyone can get them. If it's weaker as Kimmy said, opposed to +10 all, say 5 maybe, that's +5 all anyone could obtain. The top questers will have it immediately but it's not locked off. If the train of thought is, "well doing that many quests doesn't seem worth the small boost so let's not spoon feed these guys stats", it's the opposite side of the coin, denying content because you don't see yourself making use of it.

I also agree with this, I've said if such a ring is to exist at the moment it should be 900 as with all the missable (remember this includes maple island) and event quests it would be very difficult if not impossible for some to reach 1k. First and foremost the ring should be obtainable by anyone at any point they create their account.

 

I'm all for a quest ring, whether it only gives HP/MP bonus or a little but more.

 

I really enjoy questing over everything else in the server, it gives me reasons to explore the carefully crafted and beautiful world, see all the different monsters, challenge myself to fight all kinds of different things and provides a sense of accomplishment. So something like this would be an excellent addition in my opinion.

 

I love the idea and wouldn't mind doing hundreds of quests all over again on my other characters to get a HP item (just like I'm doing with the monster book ring). The staff team could even work on a bunch of new quests to make the number of available quests higher, so the ring/item would require more quests to be completed.

 

I think eye accessory is the best way to tackle this. Most players already have their 4 ring slots filled (Monsterbook/wedding/ellin/passion), if you add the zombie army ring, it's getting really crowded.
I think eye accessory would be a good place to fit it in.

 

I wholeheartedly, 100% support the Quest Ring idea, and NOT just because I've done a lot of quests already.

Make Questing Great Again. The reason that nobody except for hipsters ever cares about doing quests is because, despite being a huge part of the game's content, they don't give you anything good 99% of the time. There are a few good quests here and there, either for EXP or a nice scroll reward, but for the most part you get nothing but garbage. Grinding or even PQing is just a way better use of your time.

Wouldn't it be cool to see players, both old and new, teaming up to take on quests together all over the Maple World? Even forgotten areas like Omega Sector, Florina Beach, Mu Lung Garden, etc would get some much-deserved love. We've already seen this effect with the Monster Book Ring, and a new incentive to get out there and go questing would only magnify it.

What stats should it have?
If the idea is to make it a 'tier ring' like the MB Ring, then I think it should have at MAX level:
500-1000 HP/MP
~5 All Stats
Extra HP would be great in further alleviating the HP washing issue (especially with the release of PB on the horizon), however I don't agree with making it an HP-only ring, because then it would be pretty useless for most warriors. Giving it all stats would mean that any class could benefit from questing, no matter what.

I also liked Crayo's idea of making it equivalent to the Quest Specialist Medal in GMS:

That way it would still have some vanilla influence.

No. As a quester, I understand the desire, but it shouldn't be a ring. If you remember the Medal System on MS, that was the proper way of having it be done. I know the Medal System is not currently implemented in MapleLegends, but if we were to go this route with questing I think it should be done through a Medal System which could include a lot of the lower level Medals - provided there aren't any new additions that make the Quest Specialist Medal obsolete or anything. There could be a lot of debate as to which medals should be introduced and not (because a lot of them either sucked for the work put in, or they were OP for what little work you did put in).
