Question about monster damage

    I'm a little confused why the hp matches up with each monster, but the damage they deal to me is sometimes insane? Take extra D for example. The library says 315 magic damage, but she did 1.6k to me! Is there a way to look this up? Thanks!

    300 matk does not do 300 dmg. There is a damage formula. Try getting hit with 700 matk/atk.

    The formula is nonlinear but exact formula is unknown. 400 attack does about 1.5k damage, 600 attack does about 3k damage, 800 attack does about 5k damage, 1000 attack does about 8k damage, 2000 attack does about 30k damage.

    As RegalStar mentioned, some attacks have attack values separate from the mob's default value, and each attack uses either the weapon attack stat or the magic attack stat (not all ranged attacks are magic)
