There needs to be a meso sink in game, otherwise meso keeps getting made and hyperinflation happens. You lose 2.5% of your total mesos when you gamble? Good, less in circulation. It keeps things from getting out of hand. I like the tax the way it is, and I don't pay taxes in real life.

how can you suggest to revert back to old tax without stating what it was when half the playerbase including myself dont even know what the old tax was? 2.5% seems fine to me tbh

 

Old tax was atrocious and heavily abused. I remember paying out many HT splits clicking 1 by 1 in a shop to avoid taxes and people would buy 800m items by buying 999,999 items in a shop. I’m personally glad it went to a flat tax.

 

The current tax rate is a reduction from what is was before/what it was in GMS. As others have said you could get around it by selling things right under the threshold or by selling etc items in bulk as used to trade without taxes. The current system removes those tax loopholes, what's not to love?

I'm surprised so many people don't know. I mean, when people trade me so many still use the 9,999,999 instead of 10,000,000 trick, so I assumed they were doing it out of habit ....

i knew there were tax brackets, but im not assuming everyone would remember the exact numbers after 10 years since theyve been used.
i was only asking for the numbers specifically (also wasnt sure what numbers maplelegends used before and if they would be any different from old gms taxes)
