add more pq's for 85+

Agreed! I wish there was some form of social content (that's not grinding/leeching) for that level range!

I guess another alternative would be to just buff the exp/reward of PPQ so that it was a more viable for the 85+ level range.

Are there even more PQ’s that could be added? Or would they have to be completely custom-made?

Since many PQ’s follow quite similar ‘stages’ I guess coming up with new PQ’s that feel as if they could have been originals should be quite do-able.
An Ellin Forest (the lvl 95+ part) themed PQ would be cool!

 

I remember doing Dragon Rider PQ, Kenta PQ, and Hoblin PQ at 100+, but those were around 2010/2011 iirc. Idk if the server can add them in, but I think they would be welcomed.

 

I was just going to make one of these! I 100% agree, lving to 85 is fun with the community through pqing together. But it seems like a lot of people gravitate to leech for the path to 4th job.

It would be fun to still suffer through a pq together to get to or close to 120.

 

I'd really like Kenta PQ at some point, purely because it would add a new eyewear equip to the limited pool, but I don't know how the stats would be balanced as to not step on the toes of the Spectrum Goggles. Perhaps if it added resistance to Abnormal Status Effects so your high level characters aren't being bombarded with as many seals/blinds/stuns, etc.

 

I 100% agree. The amount of people who quit playing the game after finishing MPQ is too damn high! I'm tired of losing so many "PQ friends" because of their damned anti-bossing and leeching mindset!

Jokes aside, it truly is sad how PQs are only linked to low level content. It also sucks losing a bunch of people you have established a possibly temporary, or long-term friendship with, during the journey climbing up the PQ ladder as well. Party Questing is part of the core of oldschool MapleStory and while other MMOs have made similar types of multiplayer quests, it felt special in Maple. It built character. It introduced people to new guilds and the community. It also taught new players how to communicate with others in the game. Everyone is a similar level when doing PQs, and it provided more balanced gameplay without having to deal with too much of a class shortcoming or being too high lvl for your party. Nowadays, you see too many games focus way too much on end-level content and either laze out, or don't put effort into fun and dedicated party questing content. A custom-made PQ for certain levels might encourage PQ enjoyers to play more and possibly make the effort to reach 4th job, especially if the rewards aren't too overpowered, but rewarding.

Whatever happens regarding the PQing future, though, please.. for the love of all that is good about PQing in this server, don't EVER bring Carnival PQ here!

 

A high level CPQ would be fun. Instead of summoning rombots, summon Dunas2

More on topic, yes, high level gameplay should really be more than just standing at a boss holding attcking buttons for 2 hours

Closest we get is cwkpq but even then 98% of the run is just standing at a boss holding attacking buttons for 2 hours

I know LPQ is meme-d on a lot but it genuinely gives you a large dungeon to progress through and requires working together as a team

Even if nobody does the high level PQs (as we all know, the high level population of the server is severely, extremely overfocused on sweaty profit-making activities) it would really be nice to have the option, just to hang out with friends some time

Honestly something like DKT would be nice. Flawed to hell and back as it was, in a certain way, it was peak gameplay. Skill-dependent while evening out the playing ground completely; it didn't matter if you were level 11 or level 200, you played through with the same skills and all that mattered was how well you played and how well you worked together.
