Include Beginners in HP Challenges

Beginners can’t participate in HP Challenges. The reason given for this about 2 years ago with the announcement was that Beginners falling under the “Others” category (12k HP), could advance in to something else with that 12k HP and have either too much HP or too little MP for their new job. This was mentioned in the comments of that post, not in the official announcement for if anyone wants to read that conversation. This however is no longer possible, since beginners can’t job advance past level 29 anymore.

With there being hinted at a big HP-Challenge update coming next patch and the issue with Beginners participating being solved, I thought it would be a good time to suggest this.

(Also I understand staff are mega busy. Mostly asking if this is now part of the to-do list or is still regarded as something not being considered at this time).

Addition: 2nd job and under can’t enter the challenges either. Could be nice if they were locked out of advancing at a certain level too and being able to enter the challenges.

 

It would allow them to participate in practically all bosses, even though this wouldn’t happen organically. It would open up more options for Beginners as a community to achieve more funny feats.

I don’t see a reason not to do it. Low HP isn’t really part of the self-imposed challenge Beginners put themselves up to, as there are also Beginners that have washed. They were excluded for a reason that is no longer an issue. Only thing of course is staff’s time, but I would think it’s super reasonable to throw this low in the priority list.

 

Possible? (Give them the same HP as Warriors )

 

But Beginners can and need to wash, thus HP Challenges are incomplete as a washing alternative if Beginners are excluded.

Addition: Islanders getting events should be reason enough for Beginners to get HP Challenges. Also not playing NL and Bish is a path of inefficiency, but other classes are still getting buffs and changes. Besides that, Beginners being locked after lv29, having exclusive weapons and them even having a ranking in vanilla MS, is enough for me to see them as an official class and for that reason should be treated as such when it comes to issues they share with the “real” classes.

 

Yea! I ofc get your point too, making Beginners which are obviously an out of the ordinary path which can hardly be compared to regular classes easier in a way defeats the purpose. I just personally don’t see the lack of HP as part of that challenge, as they aren’t locked out of washing
