Pasta 2023 Recap

In this post I will be laying out the Pasta 2023 recap. This forum post is inspired by kissMagE selflessness.

So its 2024 already and here's this 2023 recap coming 8 days into January, very cool. I was reading it again while formatting it and a lot of these guys are packing, there's just so many projects and achievements going on, It just feels right to give Dimez Pasta 2022 Recap a sequel and acknowledge the guild efforts, which by the way has almost double the members now.

One of my favorite things about Pasta is the structure we have, everyone has their own passion project but when it comes to expanding and enabling runs we are fine with taking detours from our preferences to develop what is needed to make the guild grow. Doesn't matter what it is: dps, mages, buccs, HB, SE, etc, whatever is needed gets done, so the guild can have more runs, resources and autonomy.

I mean of course I have admiration for my guildies individual projects, they are awesome but ultimately what makes a guild a real guild and not just a group of people is the capacity of organization and structure to achieve goals together and we do! I hope we can enable a 4th Pasta PB run this year and get everyone in pasta an auf helmet!

Anyway, to my guildies it is a privilege to play mushroom game with you all, I'm proud that we are very resilient and that the server still has to deal with our shenanigans :^)

3. Message to the community

It’s nice to achieve goals in this game, but it’s entirely pointless if you’re not enjoying the process along the way. Instead of focusing on stuff like maximized EV, find pockets of content that you really enjoy and find ways to make it work for you.

1. What did you achieve this year?

• Upgraded the craven to a perf nt claw and completed it
• Achieved PR of 12.92m/4.82m dpm in PB on NL
• Completed Pally's auf helm in 4 runs, 42/18 stats
• Completed NL's auf helm on my 3rd attempt, 21/44 stats
• WSCS my first pair of stompers
• Sold Olivia chair for roughly 6.6b
• Got 3 attackers to at least lv 185
• Got 5 chars to 120, for a new journey in 2024
• Did most content in a duo (s/o to Cuzzo for being my partner in crime for content and meso together this year)
• Found my daily trio bucc toad squad, for 2 months and counting

2. What are your goals for 2024?

• Wash out int on all 5 chars and have 5 playable chars
• Eventually get my 3 attackers to 200 and start a new wave of 3 attackers
• Sed mule at 154
• Get my 2019 (ex-dex/int) now str bucc to 30k hp
• Complete my card hunt for 5 chars
• Pursue my Facestompers journey

3. Message to the community

Not everything that’s difficult is worth it. Strategize and start out small if you’re new. With time, your next steps will fall in place naturally when your goals are clear.

• Upgraded glove 21 attack bwg -> 23 attack bwg

1. What did you achieve this year?

• Freed myself from the burden of perfect Sky Skis(Dead Knights amiright)
• Finished last slot on Perfect Dragonfire Revolver
• Upgraded from 11 to 13 attack cape

Yeeted cash at ints

• 40 tma earrings
• 30 tma shield
• Traded Joel 5 coins for a different 30 tma shield with sentimental value
• 28 int robe
• 24 tma gloves
• 11 int mask
• And most recently a 190 tma wand 6

• Leveled bishop from like ~100 to 179
• Got him to 10k hp

2. What are your goals for 2024?

• Get mw30 on bishop
• Get to 1600 magic
• Get another level 200. Maybe sair finally gets finished
• Begin investing in NL and leveling
• Dual wield Paladins

3. Message to the community

There's nothing stopping you from growing out your hair, not showering, moving to eastern Europe, and terrorizing a small polish village as an ape monster.

1. What did you achieve this year?

• Pretty much was in and out of retirement but focused on building infrastructure
• Made 4 mages viable for multimage farming
• Hit 199 on bishop
• Got Tier10 ring on 2 additional chars
• Got first NL to PB level, close to 30k hp washed
• Upgraded 86wa craven to 90wa DGS (some other claw projects are in the works, stay tuned)
• Bought 11 dex specs
• Saved an undisclosed amount of coins and chairs
• Made second Shad (20k hp 20k mp) to HT level and thicc sed mule status
• Made second NL

2. What are your goals for 2024?

• Memelania out of retirement and get 200, make Sairs great again?
• Attain 13k hp on old Shad thru HP Challenges
• Get 2nd NL to PB level
• Explore zak solo/duo CWKPQ/duo HT setups
• Innovate new integrated farming methods

3. Message to the community

Character:

• Got both my NL and I/L to 4th Job!! No longer a one trick bishop keke

Other Achievements:

• Finally started mage farming again I’m proud of myself cry face
• Got a 4.8m DPM body on bishop in a 30 man PB beeboo
• Actually earned around 1.5k coins myself ever since i joined Pasta!! they motivated me so much rawr

2. What are your goals for 2024?

• Complete my wand please i’m 0/17 till now AHHH
• Hopefully to join 30 man PB on my NL ☹️ need to vote
• To get a perfect claw for my NL after i complete my wand sadge
• To graduate from uni and find success in my career!!

1. What did you achieve this year?

Last year on my 200 party I clean slated a +5 1 slot perfect wand8. The third 20% passed.
Since then I've been working almost solely to complete this wand. I am currently 1/41 (meaning 1 scroll passed out of 41 white scrolls used). That combined with a wrist injury made me play less, although I still managed to get some char progress in and push for cool ice lightning dpm.

• Regular spot on a 18man pb
• Regular auf (for a while) with attacker-competitive dpm
• 6manning HT on bishop

Char progress:

• Bishop t10, 175 (joined weekly pb)
• MM t10, 170 (halfway through removing int)

While not really game achievements, I met up with a metric ton of my friends from ML and those have certainly been year highlights for me

• COOLROOM meetup NY in March with 9812, globie, FIJI, radiologist, Jake, Sanji, Mindset, MattNL, beanies, Aesop, DocAdon and Fartsie
• Stepsissy and Ciss homeland tour twice
• ALVIN aka VAPORWAVE aka SNAKEWAVES my beloved
• Jake sleepover, radiologist and beanies AGAIN in Canada
• Nightz and NatteHond (my d1 ML friend) in the Netherlands + nederlandian cuisine tour and barhopping @ Rotterdam

2. What are your goals for 2024?

Treat and cure my carpal tunnel. Finish wand. Pursue higher single client ice lightning dpm. I believe player skill can gap a lot of dpm - especially in the case of ice lightning (or well archmage in general). I've always been invested in that aspect of the game anyway


3. Message to the community

I mean well. Always have and always will. I'm thankful for this community for tolerating my nonesense, and for Pasta for continuously proving to be the 1 and only place that truly accepts me.

1. What did you achieve this year?

• None, I barely played - my NL#2 didn't really level at 190, still has good gear, still does good dpm.
• side quest accomplishment: Completed 0 death, 0 sed on body with no hb on my 14.7K hp NL for the first time last week

Progress with inactivity:

• Sold some nice chairs
• Upgraded some gears on my bishop (still lacking NX) to 1h skele which helped level it to 160 faster but still missing a good shield and succumbed to blowing up around 9 targa helms to muscleuncle's dismay)
• Started leveling my 3rd NL & 2nd FP both on track with NX
• Leveled OG NL to 175 in case hp challenge ever appears and is completed.

2. What are your goals for 2024?

• Level to 175 on bishop to multiclient in pb (& finish her helm/shield)
• Do all the NT quests on pally/bish/NL to buy & scroll auf helm for NL#3
• OH AND MY FOREVER GOAL OF GETTING ABYSSS TO 200. (with just pb exp)

Retirement is getting SSI from pinkbean so don't run channel 4

1. What did you achieve this year?

Starting hosting ~18 man Pink Bean runs this year with backing from Pasta, drops have been horrible but the runs have been smooth.

Got into hosting Auf runs to supply myself and other Pasta members with helmets.

Found a better balance in life between irl work, free time, staff duties, maple which lets me do the things I love without feeling overwhelmed by doing too much at once. Also met up with various people this year that I've got to know through MapleLegends and it's been a blast to share a drink with people such as Edann and many others.

Maplelegends Meetups

  • Went out for food and drinks with Dami, Jafel and Ainz
• Geospiza's Eurotrip (just like the movie)
  • I couldn't behave and got wasted while finally meeting up with various Maplers such as: Geospiza, Motto, Buch, Sinclair, Ainz & Jafel (seeing these two too often)
• A sparkling night in Utrecht
  • Meeting up with the greatest I/L player the one and only Edann accompanied with Nattehond for drinks, including a beer in Beegoratto's rat café
• Hot choco, beer & pool
  • Met up with the lovely couple Rainemard and Jess (pikaqiuu)

Finally getting my IL to 200 and hosting a 200 party was something special to me as well and I can't thank everyone enough for being party of that journey. I was very moved by the amount of people that managed to show up on such a short notice ❤️

In some departments I've been incredibly spoonfed during the latter part of this year and it's pushed my progress much further than I could have ever imagined across 2023.

2. What are your goals for 2024?

• Find the courage to finish cape
• Continue leveling the NL, mostly finish washing it and use it for PB
• Work towards 21 att gloves for the NL
• Maybe create another I/L
• Potentially look for a perfect tma Element Pierce to continue to push the I/L to it's limits and find ways to improve my DPM in various bosses with hyper optimizations.
• Continue hosting PB, possibly expand to host a 2nd run and increase the PB runs hosted by Pasta members to 4.
• Host Auf runs whenever people in Pasta are in need of helmet
• Meet up with more awesome maplers and share a drink
