Hello, I'm working my way through Crusader right now and the ML Hero guide indicates I have 90sp I can put into several skills of my choice. I'm deciding on how to split the SP between Shout, Shield Mastery, and Armor Crash. I do already have combo attack, sword panic, and sword coma maxed out.
    • Is Armor Crash worth taking? (No idea how often mobs and bosses will use the regular armor buff at higher levels.)
    • Is it worth maxing out for the certainly to cancel the buff, or is 60%/70% good enough?

Armor crash really isn't used at all unless you are soloing one of the bosses that uses DEF up (skeles are the only regular mob I can think of that do, but it's faster to just kill them than it is to armor crash them first).

A Priest's dispel gets rid of all the standard mob buffs anyways so the 3rd job warrior "crashes" are redundant. That said there isn't much else for you to raise. Paladins are in the same situation so they use those extra skill points to max both sword/BW skills (so they can use stonetooth/crushed skull for bossing/grinding). As a hero you can do the same for axes, but unlike crushed skull which has a short range, there is no advantage to using an axe.

It's a very spammable move so having a 60% success rate is definitely good enough for the situations you want to use it. Shout is useful if you want to farm low level mobs for monster cards. Shield mastery and MP recovery will likely have no real impact on you at all.

To be sure (in case any spearman players read this), the dragon knight's power crash is very very valuable at cwkpq to remove Red Nirg's damage buff. You also don't generally bring non-mule bishops to cwkpq so it isn't made redundant by dispel.

But ya can't imagine any reason for armor and magic crash.

Thanks for the advice, looks like I'll work on Shout and put some points into Armor Crash and Shield Mastery for funsies.

Armor Crash can be useful in HT for in case when your bishop dies/DCs.
