    since NLs are lacking in damage variance.

    Increases the range of attack using throwing weapons such as throwing stars & knives.
    The closer the enemy is, the more damage will be dealt.

    +25, +20% damage when attacking at this range
    +50, +17% damage when attacking at this range
    +75, +14% damage when attacking at this range
    +100, +11% damage when attacking at this range
    +125, +8% damage when attacking at this range
    +150, +5% damage when attacking at this range
    +175, +2% damage when attacking at this range
    +200. +1% damage when attacking at this range

    good question. for a more realistic damage output?
    It's not like someone will reset their keen eyes to lvl 1 since that would make the users suffer in attack range

    not entirely, since the nature of NLs is so squishy of a class, they will almost 100% inadvertently stay a far to attack. therefore, you mustn't see this as a +20% dmg boost. BUT ok maybe a 1% boost as purposed in the opening post but 1% is fair.

    you have to see the benefits for the throwing stars-thieves from lvl 10-200

    I'm going to have to disagree with you there. I see that you're trying to make the argument about NLs gaining more power to be a bad thing. but the truth is they NEED more power. And in this case, particularly when they happened to be standing in close proximity to an enemy. hence a revision of keen eyes will do the job.

    For about a decade Marksman on GMS had this passive called Rangefinder which gives them a bonus to ignore defense the closer they are to their target, and a bonus to final damage the further away they are from their target (both are up to 20%). The problem with this passive is that 20% final damage was FAR more valuable than 20% ignore defense, and marksman damage were balanced with this 20% bonus in mind which meant they were forced to stay at optimal range for getting rangefinder bonus, when the boss is constantly moving around and the character has to focus on dodging attacks as well. Oh and Black Mage's phase 3 puts up this disco ball around him where you do 50% less damage if you're attacking him from outside the ball, so marksman basically get to choose between doing 20% less damage or doing 50% less damage. Thankfully that passive has been removed from the latest rework so they no longer have to worry about where they're standing.

    +20% on 200k is still 200k. Might make MM more dynamic than just counting to 7 then sniping.

    1% is a lot in the end game.
    Upgrading from mw20 to mw30 only gives 3% boost.
    Upgrading from perfect RC to perfect NT claw is less than 3% boost. (when apple)
