In the sprawling realm of MapleLegends, there resided a spirited adventurer named Puyo. She was known for her insatiable thirst for thrilling quests, epic battles, and the boundless adventures that awaited her. However, with limited playtime available each day, Puyo faced a difficult decision between pursuing her adventurous endeavors or exploring the lucrative world of the Free Market.

Coorie, a shrewd and enigmatic character, approached Puyo with an intriguing proposition. She presented a contract that would bind Puyo’s mesos and limit her spending to invest in Coorie's ventures. In return, Coorie promised exponential returns on her investment, assuring Puyo that her limited playtime would be transformed into a gateway to immense wealth.

Intrigued by the allure of unprecedented financial gains, Puyo cautiously agreed to the contract. She trusted in Coorie's expertise and believed that by entrusting her mesos to such a seasoned investor, she would secure a prosperous future in MapleLegends.

As Puyo ventured forth into her quests and adventures, her hard-earned mesos were meticulously collected and transferred to Coorie's capable hands. While Puyo had limited playtime, she placed her faith in Coorie's ability to strategically invest her funds and generate substantial returns.

With each passing day, Puyo’s trust in Coorie grew stronger. Coorie would provide regular updates, sharing tales of successful investments and the promising ventures she had chosen. Puyo’s excitement mounted as she imagined the day when her investments would yield significant profits, far surpassing her initial contributions.

However, the MapleLegends world was unpredictable, and investment ventures carried inherent risks. Puyo faced moments of doubt and uncertainty, wondering if her mesos would ever be returned, let alone multiplied as Coorie had promised. Yet, she clung to the hope that Coorie's shrewdness and expertise would prevail, eventually leading to a triumphant outcome.​

Rules

1. The character has a playtime limit of 1 hour per journal day.
2. The character can accumulate and spend a maximum of 100k meso per level-up.
3. Upon reaching the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th job advancements, the character receives a bonus spending allowance of 1 million, 2 million, 3 million, and 4 million meso, respectively.
4. The character is free to spend their mesos with NPCs and Free Market stores. However, they cannot engage in arranged transactions with other players to intentionally obtain items at advantageous prices.
5. Once meso is spent, it cannot be reconverted or reused.

In the sprawling realm of MapleLegends, Puyo embarked on her very first day of adventure with a firm belief in the power of forging her own path. With the understanding that every adventure begins with a roll of the die, she knew that not everyone is born the same and that she shouldn't let others dictate how she should enjoy her own journey.

As the first day unfolded, Puyo stood on the precipice of her grand adventure, facing the pivotal moment of character creation. With bated breath, she rolled the die, her heart filled with anticipation, yearning for the magic combination of numbers. Her eyes locked onto the die as it tumbled and clattered with the weight of destiny. Each roll held the potential to unlock her desired path. Puyo's gaze fixated on the two stats she rejects, willing them to manifest as 4s.



After almost 30 minutes of persistent die rolling, Puyo's unwavering determination paid off. The elusive combination she had been yearning for finally materialized before her eyes—two glorious 4s on the right stats. The long-awaited moment had arrived, and Puyo couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement ripple through her.

Can you guess what job class Puyo is destined to be? The answer lies within the numbers and the adventure that awaits. The journey ahead would bring challenges, triumphs, and countless memories waiting to be made.



As Puyo embarked on her grand adventure, a delightful encounter awaited her at the entrance of Training Camp. NPC Sera, a cheerful and welcoming presence, greeted her with open arms. Little did Puyo know that this encounter would mark the beginning of a serendipitous journey.



Having applied a promotional code upon signing up, a delightful surprise awaited her. With a twinkle in her eye, Sera presented Puyo with a generous offering of goodies, and an exclusive pet that would accompany her on her journey.



With newfound excitement, Puyo embraced the unpredictable nature of her journey. The die roll was merely the first step, a catalyst for the grand tapestry of adventures waiting to unfold. And so, with determination burning in her eyes, she stepped forward into the vast realm of MapleLegends, ready to carve her own path, regardless of the twists and turns that awaited her.

Day 2 - The Genius Unleashed



Puyo found herself reflecting on the choices she had made thus far. The previous day had been dedicated to meticulously rolling the die, seeking the perfect pair of 4s to optimize her damage output. Puyo had made a conscious decision to forgo spending her cash on AP Resets and rejected the notions of HP washing. She was determined to play the game on her own terms and embrace the challenges that came her way.



As Puyo completed a series of simple tasks designed to familiarize new players with the game mechanics, she encountered her first true challenge. She was presented with a choice between 30 Blue Potions or a Stolen Fence as reward. While the decision seemed obvious to her, she took a moment to weigh the options, considering the value and potential outcomes.



Both items were available for purchase at NPC shops. The Blue Potions were priced at 200 meso each, with a selling price of 100 meso each. On the other hand, the Stolen Fence was available for 2,000 meso. As Puyo examines the cost comparison between the two options, it became apparent that 30 Blue Potions, if purchased individually from NPCs, would amount to a total cost three times higher than that of a single Stolen Fence.

A sly grin appeared on Puyo's face as she realized the cunning strategy she could employ, by selling a portion of the Blue Potions that would provide her with the means to acquire the Stolen Fence and still retains 10 potions for future use. Puyo prided herself on her highly rational decision-making skills, believing her choices to be grounded in logical reasoning and a playful claim of possessing an IQ above 200.

Spoiler: Author’s Note

If you didn't get the joke, Puyo ended up choosing the Stolen Fence despite it being apparent that the 30 Blue Potions provide more value. The Stolen Fence can only be purchased in Lith Harbor, but Puyo is still on Maple Island.

Day 3 - Unsheathing the Blade of a Newborn Assassin



As the sun rose on the third day of her adventure, Puyo found herself greeted by an unexpected visitor—an uwu GM.



The GM bestowed upon her a series of powerful buffs, enhancing her speed, jump, defense, avoidability, and offense.



With these newfound abilities, Puyo effortlessly weaved through Maple Island, decimating monsters and leaving a trail of victory in her wake. Even the mighty Orange Mushrooms proved no match for her newfound prowess.



Having swiftly completed all the quests on Maple Island, Puyo boarded the one-way ship at Southperry, embarking on her journey to Lith Harbor.



There, she was welcomed by Monster Researcher Rino, who presented her with a ring and a tantalizing promise. For every 30 sets of monster cards she collects, an upgrade awaits her.



Feeling a hint of laziness creeping in, Puyo opted to pay a small fee to NPC Phil for a quick transport to Kerning City, bypassing the need for a long journey.

The decision to become an Assassin held a certain allure for Puyo. The reputation of the class as one of the strongest was hard to ignore, and the prospect of engaging in high-intensity combat with deadly precision appealed to her adventurous spirit.



And so, the path of the Thief unfolded before Puyo. As an Assassin-to-be, she was drawn to the allure of swift and precise attacks, harnessing the power of blades and daggers. When the topic of assassins arises, it is natural to conjure images of blades and daggers, accompanied by the swift and deadly movements of slashing and stabbing from the depths of darkness...



...right?

Day 4 - A Descent into Spiralling Mistakes



As Puyo delved deeper into her newfound life as an Assassin, the Darklord himself offered her a series of training quests to sharpen her skills. Eagerly, she embraced the opportunity to put her abilities to the test, particularly the skill known as Double Stab. With a swift motion, her dagger sliced through the air, effortlessly ripping off the tough bark of every hard-wood Stump and cleanly slitting open slimy Octopuses that dared to cross her path.



To her delight, she found herself effortlessly overkilling the training objective monsters, their defeat coming swiftly at the mercy of her blade. Even her normal attacks proved to be formidable, allowing her to vanquish her foes with ease. The tales of an Assassin's strength were no exaggeration; in fact, they exceeded Puyo's own expectations. The training quests concluded smoothly, leaving Puyo with a surge of confidence to conquer the world.





Wanting to declutter her inventory, she made her way to the Kerning City Pharmacy with the intention to sell some of her items. To her surprise, she discovered that the Throwing Stars and Wrist Guard she had received as gifts from Darklord could not be sold.



Shrugging off the disappointment, she decided that she wouldn't be pursuing the path of a ninja anyway and nonchalantly tossed the items aside.



Deciding to indulge in a visit to the Hair Salon in Henesys, Puyo eagerly hailed a taxi, only to be taken aback by the exorbitant fare, now increased tenfold. Frustrated by the sudden surge in price, she couldn't help but feel a sense of disbelief. However, unwilling to waste her precious playtime on a long walk to the neighboring town, Puyo reluctantly paid the steep fee and arrived at the Henesys Hair Salon.



Hoping to treat herself to a fresh new hairstyle, Puyo excitedly entered the salon, only to realize that her impulse for a makeover had depleted her cash reserves entirely. In a turn of events, what was meant to be a simple hair transformation quickly transformed into an impromptu fashion spree in the Cash Shop. She splurged her hard-earned vote cash on a complete ensemble of cash equipment from head to toe, leaving no funds remaining to purchase the coveted hairstyle coupon. With a hint of disappointment, Puyo resigned herself to the fact that she would have to wait yet another day for her desired hairstyle.



Puyo then decided to gear up before embarking on her grand adventure. However, her excitement quickly dwindled when she realized the exorbitant prices in the Henesys Free Market. Puyo's pockets were far from deep, and the prospect of affording decent gear seemed out of reach. Disheartened, she wandered through the market, contemplating how she could ever amass the wealth required. It was during this moment of despair that a peculiar character approached her, introducing herself as Coorie.



Intrigued by Puyo's limited playtime situation, Coorie offered an enticing proposition: to invest in her ventures. In exchange for surrendering all her wealth and assets obtained during her adventure, Coorie promised immense returns on her investments. Skepticism crept into Puyo's mind; such opportunities seemed too good to be true. Sensing her doubt, Coorie revealed a glimpse of the wares she had acquired through savvy deals, tempting Puyo to reconsider the proposition.

Coorie then presented a counteroffer, a revised contract that limited Puyo's spending based on her progression. This way, Puyo could still enjoy the benefits of investing while managing her wealth effectively. The prospect of not constantly worrying about procuring gears, allowing her to focus on exploration, enticed Puyo. Coorie assured her that, as her strength grew, she would gain access to even stronger weapons, ensuring a future of powerful blades. Charmed by Coorie's shiny daggers and captivated by the idea of uninterrupted exploration, Puyo made the decision to sign the contract.

Day 5 - Questing Journey in Nautilus



With a renewed sense of purpose, Puyo found herself in possession of enough vote cash to purchase two EXP hair style coupons.



Hopeful for a new and fancy hairstyle that would match her taste, she eagerly visited the salon, only to be met with disappointment when the results didn't meet her expectations. Undeterred, she resolved to try again another day, determined to find the perfect look that would truly reflect her adventurous spirit.



Puyo then decided to embark on a questing journey in the coastal town of Nautilus. Rumors had reached her ears that the quests there were relatively easy yet rewarding, providing a decent amount of experience for someone at her level. Conveniently, Nautilus was just a few maps away from Henesys, making it a convenient choice for her next adventure.



Along her journey, Puyo made the decision to unleash her loyal pet, hoping it would assist her in the task of gathering valuable items. However, to her dismay, she quickly discovered that the pet required its own set of cash equipment in order to unlock the ability to loot mesos and items. Frustration washed over her as she realized the pet's current state of uselessness, feeling a pang of regret for her earlier excitement.



Accepting a couple of quests in Nautilus, Puyo found herself tasked with a variety of objectives, many of which involved slaying pigs and collecting their valuable drops. The pigs proved to be easy targets, swiftly falling under the blades of her daggers. Not only did their demise contribute to the completion of her quests, but they also provided a satisfying amount of experience points, helping her progress further along her journey.



Despite her growing spending allowance, Puyo found herself bothered by a particular quest requirement in Nautilus. To aid a horny fish prince, she was required to obtain a Mana Elixir to restore his ability to stand, which chipped away at her contracted spending limit.



Although her current spending allowance exceeded 2 million mesos, she only had a meager 53k mesos in her possession.



Determined to fulfill her quest obligations, Puyo pressed on, completing a series of quests and earning experience points along the way. With her efforts, she successfully maxed out her Double Stab skill, reveling in her newfound mastery of the deadly technique. Now, faced with the decision of which skill to prioritize next, she carefully examined her options, seeking the most advantageous path to enhance her abilities.

Day 6 - Tunnelling into Regrets



Eager to embark on a new adventure, Puyo received a tip about a quiz-based quest in New Leaf City that promised valuable experience points. With excitement in her heart, she hopped into a taxi, making her way to the Kerning City Subway to begin her journey.



However, before her departure, an NPC named Nella mentioned a potential "hook-up" for a fee of 1,000 mesos, igniting a momentary thrill that quickly turned into disappointment when she realized it was a misunderstood job request from someone named Don Hwang.



Undeterred, Puyo continued on her path to New Leaf City, where she eagerly tackled the quiz quest and swiftly completed it. Satisfied with her newfound knowledge, she promptly returned to Kerning City to fulfill the job request.



Her first task was to collect 50 Bubbling Slime Bubbles, leading her to explore the treacherous underground subway, where these resilient foes proved to be a formidable challenge. Their increased resistance and devastating attacks swiftly drained her potions, but Puyo persevered, determined to complete her objective.



If you were wondering what happened to Puyo's Giant Orchid, she deeply regrets spending her vote cash on it. Due to its impressive size, it often causes her to misjudge her attacks as the range comes from her actual weapon. This served as a valuable lesson, reminding her that size and appearance hold little significance if they do not complement the intended purpose.



With the Bubbling Slime Bubbles collected, Puyo moved on to her next task: gathering 50 Green Mushroom Caps. Before proceeding, she took a detour to Lith Harbor to submit a quest to Olaf, who generously rewarded her with valuable White and Blue Pills.



It was during this time that she encountered NPC John, who requested some Pink Violas, that can be found deep in the Sleepywood forest, for his wife to make her happy.



This enticed Puyo with the opportunity to combine quests by overlapping between Don Hwang's request and the hunting of Green Mushrooms quest in Sleepywood, Puyo hatched a plan to maximize her efficiency. Luckily, a VIP taxi service in Lith Harbor offered a premium ride straight to the Sleepywood Ant Tunnel, albeit at a hefty cost of 10,000 mesos. Undeterred by the expense, Puyo eagerly embarked on her dual questing adventure, ready to face the challenges that awaited her in the depths of Sleepywood.



As Puyo ventured deeper into the Ant Tunnel, she decided to make her return journey through the tunnel itself, rather than using a Return Scroll, in hopes of stumbling upon a quest involving the eradication of Horny Mushrooms. The anticipation of additional rewards fuelled her determination as she battled her way back.



Upon arriving in Sleepywood, Puyo felt the weariness of her journey and sought respite at the Sleepywood Hotel. In a moment of convenience, she utilized the fast travel feature to the Free Market, allowing her a brief opportunity for some store browsing. Among the bustling market stalls, she stumbled upon a vendor offering a tempting deal—128 Dark Crystal Ores priced at 2,999 mesos each. Puyo knew that these ores could be sold to NPCs for 3,500 mesos apiece, a potential profit waiting to be claimed.



However, there was a hurdle she needed to overcome—her limited funds. With only 47k mesos in her possession, she couldn't afford to purchase the entire stock. It was then that a stroke of genius struck her. She realized she could buy whatever quantity she could afford, sell them back to NPCs for a profit, and repeat the process until she accumulated enough mesos to acquire the full stock of Dark Crystal Ores. Her cunning plan was a success, as her clever buying and selling maneuvers gradually increased her meso count from 47k to over 110k mesos.

Little did she know that this seemingly big-brain move would turn out to be a grave mistake...

Spoiler: The Mistake

The grave mistake of purchasing the Dark Crystal Ores was a direct result of Puyo's contract, which stipulated that any expenditure, including the purchase of the ores, would be deducted from her limited spending allowance.

Day 7 - All for the Lemons



As Puyo continued her adventures in Sleepywood, she remained focused on her original purpose for the trip. With determination in her heart, she approached the Mysterious Statue and touched it, instantly being transported into a thrilling jump quest. To her delight, the quest proved to be relatively easy for her, and she swiftly maneuvered her way to the top, where a pile of pink flowers awaited her. These were the very flowers John had been searching for to bring joy to his beloved wife.



Eager to make progress in her quests, Puyo set out on a hunting expedition for Green Mushrooms for their caps in the nearby area and ventured into the dungeon to confront the Horny Mushrooms lurking within. Her skill and determination proved to be unmatched as she swiftly eliminated both types of mushrooms.



The Rememberer, impressed by Puyo's remarkable mushroom-slaying prowess, rewarded her with a bountiful supply of White Potions and a significant boost in experience points. Puyo's dedication and combat skills continued to grow, paving the way for even greater adventures ahead.



After bidding a temporary farewell to Sleepywood, Puyo began her journey back to Henesys, taking the scenic path that connected the two towns.



Upon reaching, a thought crossed her mind, prompting her to make a quick detour to the hair salon once again. After a few more attempts at finding the perfect hairstyle, she remained unsatisfied and vowed to return the next day for another round of styling endeavors.




As Puyo made her way back to Lith Harbor and Kerning City, she eagerly submitted her completed quests to John and Nella, hoping for a rewarding outcome.



However, to her dismay, the rewards she received felt disappointingly lackluster in comparison to the effort she had invested in completing the quests. Puyo certainly can't wait to twist and squuueeeeeeze some of Don Hwang's lemons and transform them into a refreshing glass of blood lemonade.

With the completion of her current tasks, Puyo found herself contemplating her next destination. She yearned for a place where she could not only delve into new and exciting adventures but also amass additional meso to fund her for some decent upgrades.



She had heard rumors that the Ducks and Roosters in Shanghai, China, dropped valuable items, and they were appropriate for her current level grind on. Intrigued by the prospect of acquiring useful loot, Puyo decided that it would be her next destination.

Day 8 - Sticking Up and Leveling Up



As Puyo continued her adventure in Shanghai, she found herself amidst a refreshing and vibrant atmosphere. She encountered Owner Yeo, who had an interesting request for her—100 Duck Eggs and 100 Chicken Feet. Coincidentally, these were the very mobs she intended to hunt, so she gladly accepted the task.

Curiosity got the better of her, and she decided to explore a bit further, venturing two maps to the left. There, she stumbled upon a colossal centipede and underestimated its strength. Naively assuming it would be an easy kill, she attacked without caution, only to discover that the centipede was surprisingly agile, swiftly evading her strikes.



In a moment of realization, Puyo found herself in a dire predicament, but it was too late to retreat. The centipede's sharp jaws pierced her with a devastating blow, causing her to meet an untimely demise and lose a portion of her hard-earned experience points. Regret washed over her as she contemplated her hasty actions.

Undeterred by the setback, Puyo decided to stick to her original plan of hunting Ducks and Roosters. She hoped for valuable equipment drops that would aid her in her journey.



After several kills, she finally obtained an item drop, but her excitement quickly turned to disappointment as it revealed itself to be a mere Sky Blue Umbrella. Determined to persevere, she pressed on, hoping for better luck.

Her primary goal, however, was to fulfill Owner Yeo's request. With every Duck Egg and Chicken Foot collected, she inched closer to completing the task.



Just when she thought she was nearing the end, a glimmer of hope appeared—a shiny bow-like item dropped from a Rooster. Upon inspection, she discovered it to be a level 65 bow, far surpassing her current level of 23. Anticipating a substantial reward from selling it to an NPC, she continued her hunt, collecting the remaining items.



Finally, armed with the Duck Eggs and Chicken Feet, Puyo returned to Owner Yeo. However, her anticipation turned to dismay as she received nothing more than a couple of Fruit and Corn Sticks as a reward. Frustrated and on the verge of losing her patience, she toyed with the idea of expressing her displeasure in an unconventional manner by sticking ‘em up Yeo’s… what Chu up to?

Puyo couldn't help but ponder the fortunate timing of Chief Officer Chu being stationed near Owner Yeo just as she was about to “expand Yeo’s inventory”. She contemplated whether it was sheer luck or perhaps a well-orchestrated plan to prevent any untoward incidents from occurring.



Despite the disappointment, Puyo consoled herself with the fact that the bow fetched a decent sum when sold.



With her newly acquired wealth, Puyo set out on a mission to find affordable upgrades. Her main focus was to obtain some cheap Dagger for Att scrolls. After some searching, she stumbled upon a 10% scroll priced at 20k mesos and decided to take a chance on it.



Encouraged by this find, she came across a few more 60% scrolls priced under 20k, one even priced at 1 meso.



Additionally, she discovered a LUK 30% scroll for a mere 1 meso, which she planned to use on her Stolen Fence.



Initially, Puyo intended to utilize the scrolls on her Fruit Knife, as it was the weapon she could equip with her current DEX stat. However, fate had a different plan for her. She stumbled upon a partially scrolled Maple Bandana Blue with 4 all stats and some HP, priced at 200k mesos. Additionally, she found two Bathrobes, one with +2 LUK and the other with +2 DEX, both priced at only 30k mesos each. Although they had some failed slots, the stats they provided were well worth the meso investment. With the combined DEX from the bandana and bathrobe, Puyo could now equip a Field Dagger, which boasted a significant increase of 8 weapon attack compared to her Fruit Knife.



Content with her purchases, Puyo headed to the weapon store in Kerning City to acquire her Field Dagger and attempt her scrollings. Her first endeavor was to use the 1 meso LUK 30% scroll on her Stolen Fence, hoping that the cheap price wouldn't result in bad luck. Much to her delight, the scroll successfully enhanced her fence by 3 LUK. Puyo was pleased with the small upgrade, knowing that many small upgrades could make a significant difference.



Next on her agenda was the Field Dagger. Puyo approached it with the mindset that it would serve as a temporary weapon and decided to use one Dagger for Attack 10% scroll and six 60% scrolls, regardless of the outcome. To her surprise, the 10% scroll successfully passed, followed by 4 out of 6 successful passes from the 60% scrolls. The results exceeded Puyo's expectations, granting her an additional 7 LUK and 21 weapon attack boost from the Field Dagger.



As Puyo's playtime drew to a close, she eagerly anticipated testing out her new dagger in her next session.

Day 9 - A Return to Sleepywood and Nautilus



With her newly upgraded dagger in hand, Puyo embarked on a return trip to Sleepywood, specifically to take on the Zombie Mushroom hunting quest inside the Ant Tunnel. This provided her with the perfect opportunity to gauge the difference her upgrade made.



Taking the path through Kerning City's Swarm, she made her way to Sleepywood. As she entered the Ant Tunnel and unleashed her Double Stab on the first Horny Mushroom, she could immediately feel a significant improvement in her attack power.



Dispatching the mushrooms with ease, she swiftly completed the Zombie Mushroom hunt, bringing her close to reaching level 25.



Upon reaching this milestone, a new quest presented itself—an Evil Eyes hunting quest.



Not only did this quest offer valuable potions and experience points, but the Eye Evil Tails she collected along the way could also be used to complete quests in Nautilus.





One involved using 10 tails to play a prank on Calico, while another required 40 tails to be given to Tangyoon, the Nautilus chef, who would then cook up some mouth-watering hamburgers.



As Puyo approached level 27, just three levels away from her next job advancement, she eagerly anticipated unlocking new skills that would take her gameplay to the next level.



Puyo set her sights on Zipangu, Japan, eager to explore the mystical land and take on new challenges. Her first stop was to assist the Shrine Maiden with a seemingly simple quest. Although she wasn't sure what to expect, Puyo was excited to immerse herself in the culture and embark on a unique adventure in Zipangu.



However, she couldn't help but feel a tinge of disappointment as she noticed that the passive skill Keen Eyes didn't increase her attack range as the description had promised. Puyo wondered if the Field Dagger wasn't categorized as a "knife," perhaps an oversight by the game developers.

Day 10 - Mountain Views to Mountain Kills



Puyo decided to embark on a specific quest from Kino Konoko at Mushroom Shrine that was part of a chain leading to a valuable scroll as a reward. Kino Konoko requested two Maple Special Bento boxes, one for herself and the other for Puyo to join her for a meal. Although Puyo didn't really need to obtain a second box, Kino Konoko insisted on being a difficult lil’ bi...



Puyo ventured to the nearby area with a picturesque mountain view to hunt Blue Mushrooms and quickly obtained the required bento boxes.



With that task completed, she made her way to Ninja Castle to grind for a level. The Genin enemies proved to be the most efficient around this time in terms of experience points gained relative to their HP.



Puyo even obtained some stimulators during the grind, which she could sell for a good price of 20k meso each.



After reaching level 28, she journeyed to Perion and took up a quest from Manji. The quest involved slaying Dark Axe Stumps, a task that was easily accomplished. In return, Manji offered to warp Puyo instantly to Ariant.



Along her way, she encountered an old man named Winston, who seemed like an archaeologist. Intrigued by the appearance of new monsters, Winston requested Puyo's assistance in hunting them and collecting valuable drops for investigation.



Puyo agreed to the task and journeyed to the Excavation Site, diligently collecting Ghost Stump Seedlings and the slate masks worn by other creatures.



After successfully completing the kills and gathering the required items, Puyo made her way back, ensuring she also dealt with the Dark Axe Stumps along the smoky mountains, and returned to Winston to submit the quest, fulfilling her part in the investigation. Winston then further instructed her to eliminate a staggering number of 200 Wooden and Rocky Masks each.



However, Puyo politely declined the request, deeming it as a waste of her precious time and resources. Winston, disappointed with her refusal, voiced his disapproval, labeling her as a selfish kid before urging her to leave. The old man should have realized that they were alone high up in the mountains, and certainly don’t want any “accident” to beFALL on to him.



As her playtime came to an end, Puyo submitted the quest to Manji, setting her sights on Ariant for her next adventure.

Day 11 - Sticky Fingers in the Sand



Puyo started her quest in Ariant with Byron, who advised her to drink the water near the Ariant Castle in order to be accepted by the citizens.



Warily, Puyo examined the water, making sure there was no sign of contamination. Satisfied with its clarity, she took a sip, and to her relief, it opened up new quests around the town.



As Puyo navigated through the sandy streets and interacted with the townspeople, she quickly realized that Ariant was a town of thieves.





Many quests revolved around stealing from one another, but Puyo didn't mind. After all, the quests offered enticing experience points, and in this town, everyone seemed to be a bandit of sorts, living amidst the shifting sands.





One daring bandit even attempted to rob Puyo, demanding a "donation" of 10k mesos. Rather than wasting time on unnecessary commotion, Puyo humored him, playing along with his charade. It was just another part of the peculiar charm of Ariant.



A big-size bandit attempted to resort to violence, but he was quickly overpowered by Puyo. He proved to be no match for her skill and strength as she swiftly defeated him, slicing through his defenses like a knife through pork belly.



Continuing her adventure, Puyo found herself facing off against a family of cacti—the fathers, mothers, and even the innocent children.



She needed their body parts to create ropes and decorations. Fortunately, they proved to be an excellent grinding spot for her current level, with their abundance and ease of defeat.



Amidst her cacti-slaying spree, Puyo decided to indulge in a final hairstyle change. With her appearance refreshed, she began saving her vote cash for pet equipment, recognizing the value it would bring to her future endeavors.



As she continued her journey, stealing and battling desert lizards in the area, Puyo's efforts paid off, and she reached level 31.



To mark this milestone, Byron presented her with a recommendation letter, signifying her readiness for the next step in her job advancement. Interestingly, it turns out that the Dark Lord is actually a girl? Excited for what lay ahead, Puyo prepared herself for the challenges and opportunities that awaited her.

Day 12 - The Assassin’s First Hit



On the verge of making her job advancement, Puyo approached Karcasa outside the town, who would randomly teleport her to one of the towns in Victoria Island for a fee of 10k meso.



After completing a challenge given by the Job Instructor to collect some Dark Marbles, Puyo returned to the Dark Lord to choose between becoming a Bandit or an Assassin.



Having already decided on becoming an Assassin, her not-so-fun experience in stealing around Ariant like a bandit solidified her choice.



With excitement, Puyo examined her new set of skills as an Assassin…



Next, Puyo headed to Ninja Castle to complete a quest with the Genin Dolls she had collected previously that rewarded a valuable Shoes for Jump 30% scroll. The scroll was worth 4.5 to 5 million meso, which she planned to use for another round of upgrade shopping.



Returning to Sleepywood, she entered the Sleepywood Hotel's VIP Sauna room to receive a quest from the Sauna Manager, Mr. Wetbottom.



His son had run away with his precious book, and Puyo was entrusted to retrieve it. This marked her first target as an Assassin, and she was determined to execute the task swiftly and discreetly, leaving no traces behind.

Following Mr. Wetbottom's clues, Puyo made her way to Ellinia, where she found Wetbottom Jr. hiding in a low-level tree trunk.



As she confronted the young and seemingly harmless boy, Puyo couldn't help but feel a sense of sympathy. As she saw no true threat in him, with grace and understanding, she accepted his tearful begging for a last meal before his departure from this world.



To fulfill the boy’s dying wish, Puyo has to obtain a refined Diamond in exchange for some of Rowen the Fairy’s Fresh Milk



and prepared Rina's Special Unagi using Curse Eye Tails and Pig's Heads, as well as Bananas from Lupin monkeys.



In pursuit of the ingredients needed, Puyo ventures to the north of Ellinia, ascending to the highest part of the tree trunk where the Curse Eyes reside. Her mission begins as she sets out to hunt for their elusive tails.

Day 13 - Preparation for the Monkey Cries Festival

While some might think Puyo’s just an idiot, there's more to her actions than meets the eye.

Wanted to be an Assassin, Puyo had carefully planned her skill progression, starting with Double Stab. Her 200 IQ decision was no coincidence; she foresaw the benefits of using Double Stab in early areas with tight spaces and high-density mobs, such as the Sleepywood Ant Tunnel and the tree trucks of Ellinia. This versatility allowed her to adapt to different environments seamlessly, making her a formidable force.



However, she wasn't done with her skill choices yet. She did learn Lucky Seven but found that in most cases, Double Stab provided more advantages, and saves her the cost of recharging stars.



Despite her melee battles, she had yet to purchase any potions as the ones obtained through quests proved to be more than sufficient.



Excitingly, Puyo had saved enough vote cash to buy pet equipment, allowing her slime pet to loot and heal for her. This improvement brought a higher quality of life to her adventures as she collected Curse Eye Tails and even managed to level up without the need to loot and heal herself.

With her funds from the sale of a Shoes for Jump 30% scroll, she began her upgrade shopping spree. Her next destination was the Lupin monkeys, where she planned to switch to using Lucky Seven for the hunt.



During her search for upgrades, she stumbled upon a steal—a 19 weapon attack Steel Titans for a mere 20k meso.





Alongside it, she purchased a few 19 attack Mokbi Throwing-Stars, considering their low recharge cost of 1 meso per star.



Her upgrade spree continued. Puyo found a partially scrolled Pink Marker with 2 LUK and 4 weapon attack, priced at 500k.





She completed the remaining 2 slots with two Gloves for Att 100% scrolls, costing 50k each, providing her with a cheap 2 LUK, 6 weapon attack gloves.



But the day end there. She discovered a 2 weapon attack Ragged Black Cape at 495k



and a 2 LUK Yellow Christmas Sock at 750k with 6 slots, an excellent purchase to enhance her shoe options as there isn't any other at this point that provides LUK.





Despite Puyo's excitement to improve her equipment further, the Shoes for Avoidability 60% scrolls she purchased didn't yield the expected results. Only 3 out of the 6 attempts passed, leaving some accuracy and avoidability missed out. However, Puyo quickly realized that those particular stats wouldn't make a significant difference in her performance.



Determined not to let this setback dampen her spirits, with some Overall Armor for LUK 60%/70% scrolls, she scrolled her 2 LUK 7-slots Bathrobe and achieved a remarkable result—all 7 slots passed!



This yielded her an impressive 16 LUK Bathrobe, and she couldn't be happier with the outcome.



Not stopping there, she found a 5 LUK 65 weapon attack Korean Fan priced at only 130k, a great replacement for her current 7 LUK 43 attack Field Dagger once she reaches level 35.



Lastly, she found a surplus of Birthday Cakes that heal 365 HP and MP, priced at 322 meso each, a fantastic value for the recovery it provided.



As the day concluded, Puyo felt satisfied with her shopping haul. Her equipment upgrades and strategic choices laid a solid foundation for her hunt for Bananas from Lupins. With newfound confidence and prowess, Puyo is eager to embrace her next adventure!

Day 14 - The Monkeys' Final Waltz



Through the scenic forest, Puyo treads,

A quest of hunting, to be done.

With stealth and skill, she tracks their cries,
The undead monkeys in disguise,
Cursed dolls they hold, a haunting sight,
Yet Puyo's resolve remains upright.

She takes her aim, with dagger keen,
Silent steps, the scene serene,
One by one, they fall with grace,
In this hunting dance, she finds her place.

Their cries grow faint, their numbers thin,
As Puyo's prowess starts to win,
The monkey cries now hushed in peace,
Their spirits find a sweet release.

Amidst this festival of cries,
A tale of skill, beneath the skies,
With bananas sought and monkeys found,
Puyo's legend echoes all around.

Day 15 - Cursed No More



Puyo found herself with a sufficient supply of Bananas to complete her quest. However, she decided to seize the opportunity and continue her hunt for Cursed Dolls while grinding for some extra levels in the Monkey Forest II. This spot proved to be an excellent place for her, allowing her to snipe the monkeys from a safe distance with ease.

With each level gained, Puyo felt herself growing stronger, getting closer to being able to 3-hit the monkeys more frequently. Surprisingly, this allowed her to progress through levels even faster than before, despite requiring more experience points.



As she reached pass level 35, Puyo knew it was time for a claw upgrade. Making her way to the Free Market, she found a tempting deal—a scrolled 30 weapon attack Maple Claw priced at 2 million meso, which nearly pushed her to the limit of her current allowance.



With the new weapon in hand, she found herself dispatching the monkeys even faster than before.



Her skills were improving, and soon enough, she had collected a staggering 2,300 Cursed Dolls—the exact number needed for the Cursed Doll quests.





With the Cursed Dolls collected, Puyo ventured to the eerie Kerning City Subway to hunt for Tablecloths from Jr. Wraiths, needed for a quest in Nautilus. Her skills as an Assassin proved invaluable as she swiftly dispatched the ghostly creatures.



Additionally, Puyo had gathered an extra 50 Curse Eye Tails from here previous hunt for Tangyoon to cook up some Unagi, slightly different from Rina's Unagi Special, which contained 5 Pig's Heads. It seemed like everyone had their own unique twist to this delicacy.



Since Ronnie had later handed over the book Mr. Wetbottom was after, Puyo saw no reason to engage in unnecessary violence. The lurking Curse Eyes around the area would likely deal with him eventually.



With a clear conscience, Puyo returned to the Sleepywood Hotel Sauna to complete the quest, opening up the Cursed Dolls quest, which she had already prepared for submission.



As she submitted the Cursed Dolls, she felt a sense of accomplishment, which was soon matched by the satisfying ding of reaching level 38. The journey of her Assassin was proving to be both rewarding and challenging, and Puyo couldn't wait to see what else lay ahead in her adventurous path.
