Hardflip's Road to 1600 TMA

Hi everyone, this is Hardflip and this is my journal! He's a 186 Bishop right now. My primary goal is to hit 1600 TMA with Echo + MW30 and then re-evaluate from there

This will primarily be used to document my journey. I've learned over time that I'm a pretty casual player (and that's ok!) so updates will be slow. I primarily make my money from doing PB, HT, Auf, and farming the mobs for Ephenia upgrades.

Hardflip Goals (live updates):
- Push boundaries of Bishop DPM in Horntail, Auf, and Pink Bean
- Reach level 200
- Hit 1700 TMA (buffed)
- Purchase/Chaos YSS
- Reloot TL pendant for 27/28 int
- Incrementally upgrade gear / start a WS project

360Flip Goals (live updates):
- Acquire 132-133 att sword
- Acquire 8-10 att cape

Completed:
- Repay loan to Nightz
- Acquire 15-16 att glove (got a 15)
- Get to 173 and start doing core on Pally
- Hit 1600 TMA with Echo + MW30
- Run sub-30 character Pink Bean
- Save for MW30 service (1365/X) X being dependent on MW30 book prices
- Finish my Auf helm

I'll likely just be posting Auf helm content as I try to scroll a helm and random DPMs from bosses that actually require an active Bishop. I also have a Paladin I play sometimes so there might be content from him too. Thanks for reading so far

Today's Auf run

We got 2 pouches and I looted an 18 int helm which boomed first try

First time ever hitting this much damage though kept timers for main dp, clone dp, and sed. So could safely DPS almost the entire time. Learned about the stun timer and the stun into dp which can happen so will keep a timer for that in the future.


Celo and I (both the helm looters) unfortunately died run2. Not even sure what happened for me, we finished phase 2 of clones just fine and I died to main body somehow. Timer setup!

 

Did another Auf run yesterday here was the roster:


Unfortuantely run1 Mito DCed right as Auf spawned so that one was a wash.

For run2, I ended up dying during 3rd clones. I think it was because of 3rd clone stun + main auf gen when it got slightly unpinned.

I think the lesson learned for me is to stop genning during Clone3 in the following conditions:
- Main DP is up
- Main Auf is unpinned

If I hide in the bottom right corner I can't get caught mid-gen or be stunned into a DP + hit.

Feeling a bit discouraged from all the deaths :/ so going to try a bit safer going forward before I focus on higher DPM. Also tried to keep stun timers and it was fairly difficult between tracking the other moves that will kill me more consistently.

Happy to take any tips from mages/bishops if they have them! I might try to write down all the possible scenarios I can die to make sure I can avoid them.

 

Last minute joined Ramon's PB run today since FamPB was cancelled earlier this week. Here was the roster for my party

Smoke and shield enjoyers rejoice!

This was a 2 apple run so the body ended up taking about 40 minutes and I was able to do two separate @dpm 20s




Close to 3.2m dpm and a new PR smoke is so nice lol. I've also realized Bishop DPM heavily relies on DPM padding on minis during body.

During body DR I noticed other Bishops clearing minis that spawned during the DR, I started doing this and definitely saw my DPM go up compared to previous attempts.

No MW, stompers, not even a pouch. Dry as can be but that's life!

 

Huge update today!!

Solo'd nib by duo attacking on my Bishop and Pally in 51 minutes. Probably won't be doing that again anytime soon lol but it was fun to give it a try. Got a pouch for it

Also did some auf today with Celo and gang


5/5 on a perfect int helm , will probably safe scroll to finish as I'd be happy with anything above 40.

And here was my DPM 35 for auf. Definitely lower than before, but at least I'm surviving runs better. Will start to play more risky and get more DPM as I feel more comfortable


Next for me is to finish the safe scroll quest by killing Dunas2, Core, and Auf again.

Hopefully now that my helm is done, I can just run Auf for fun and more profits now given most people do increase splits for non-looters

 

The anti-gambler in me is too scared, taking the 3.125% chance of this happening to me already already feels like a victory lolll

Ran some ratHT last night with beegoratto and friends


Run 1 DPM 50 mw20, wiz elixir, echo, finished on just right arm alive

Run 2 DPM 45 mw20, htb + wiz elixir, echo, finished on both arms alive



Also my first time keeping timers in HT, made it even more of a breeze vs relying on the ingame clock. Having the exact moment DP comes up is nice because you can really just have gen go brrrrrrr until then for DPM

I've been traveling this week for work so haven't had much time to play. Did some BPQ and fished and got a Pouch3, the new chair, and a 9 int flag.

Ran some PB with Milk Farm this week since I couldn't run with FamPB due to work travel.

Lots of unfortunate DCs, particularly our MW30 so we had partial MW20/30 throughout the run. Run cleared at like 3 minutes on the clock! Spicy. With echo, mw30, and event pot 1591 TMA though! Very close to 1600



Immediately after the PB, had some GurkAuf. First run 6 helms dropped and all were boomed. No pouch


2nd run was a 6 man but the DPM37 was cooked we finished like 5 minutes early :x, 1 pouch and a few helms. Congrats to Jeesoo for finishing their helm!!

I also leveled in the Auf runs, sitting at about ~8.9k hp now

 

Another week of FamPB. I had high hopes for hitting some PRs this run because of double shad , but no SE or MW30

TMA is a bit lower this week because no MW30 (hopefully me soon!) and no event pot so we're sitting at 1560 with echo/wizard elixir/mw20:

Disappointing DPM :|

Not sure the reason, maybe because we had an arch mage so mini bean padding is a bit lower? I was rarely sedded between all the TLs on my will, 2x smoke, and 1x shield.

Drops? We got 1 pouch lol, drybean per usual

Very closeeee to 4.1m SE feels like it makes a large difference during clone1 and clone3 where you're basically cleaving. I think I've also just made some gear upgrades and play a bit more dangerously now that my helm is done, which means I'm doing more damage.

Have started to try and keep stun timer now that I'm super comfortable keeping (and calling out!) main dp, clone dp, and sed. Which has really helped my survivability/DPM.

Got to watch Jess boom some helms which was fun, we were rewarded with 3 pouches total and some junk NT


Pumped on the new auf PR seriously the most fun content for me right now
