New player with a few questions about endgame

Remember that bishops have Invincible (take less damage) and don't have elemental amplification (so they use less pots) and even Genesis costs less MP that the F/P and I/L ults (less pots again).

While they can't reach the same damage thresholds that an archmage can, they are great general purpose farmers, and the best option for selling any and all leech (except petri, and 5-6F, but they ultimately can get to 1-hit skele which is very comparable.)

I/L and F/P certainly 1-hit maps a lot sooner. Most notably, ulu2 at early as ~135, but I've found that elemental weaknesses don't play as big of a role as you think they would... seeing as maps like ulu1, ulu2, squids, are gonna be where you spend most time.

akashsky mentioned that I/L are better farmers, most likely due to the fact they can do maps like Ninto and Harps that have fire resistance, but F/P are better leechers as they can sell 5-6F and Petri a few levels sooner.

 

many of the farming maps are strong to either fire or ice, and bishop are better for pot management. also nice to have some high level bishops

 

Bishop is the best overall farmer because it has the least potion usage of all the mages. (in this server with max ult and ele amp, archmage use 7k per cast, bishop uses 3.5k as it doesn't have ele amp). Its the worst leech seller because the damage is low.

The holy attribute is also the best, because it is useable on the greatest number of maps, and there are no maps in the meta that resist holy. Meanwhile there are some meta maps that resist fire, which is what makes FP the worst farmer. Example: Ninto and squids are good maps that resist fire, so FP mages can't farm there.

However, FP mage has the most damage, so it is the best class to use for leech (can 1hit sooner etc).

Ice lightning is the middle ground, as both squid and ninto don't resist ice. Its less damage than FP so its worse for leeching, but it doesn't have the same farming efficiency as a bishop.

This was my original reccomendation, if you want to keep some options open, and want to use 6 mages, I think 4x bishop and 2x ice lighting/fire poison is a good idea.
