Information November 2024 Balance Changes [Explained]

    Welcome to our balance changes thread for the November 2024 Patch! While the main focus of this update was the Halloween event, we’ve also managed to sneak in a major rework for one of our late-game bosses—The Boss! While there are no other balance changes in this patch, we’re eager for you to explore the updates to The Boss.

    The original sequence—BGA, BGB, and then The Boss—wasn’t exactly a fan favorite as it always stayed in the bottom 3 of bossing content that players ran. Some of the main issues were:
    1. Incredibly annoying stuns that were hardly interactive
    2. Tough entry point with extreme HP requirements
    3. Low monetary rewards
    This rework aims to address all that, incorporate cleave playstyles, and bring some real excitement back to The Boss fight.

    We’ve done a major overhaul to The Boss, so much so that it's almost a brand-new fight. We won’t spoil too many details here, as we want players to dive in and discover the new phases and revamped mechanics for themselves.

    Here are a few key hints we think players might find helpful:
    1. Maximum damage dealt by any enemies now is 11.5k HP. 1/1 is still in the fight, however.
    2. BGA and BGB now spawn together.
    3. The Boss will now be spawned after BGA and BGB receive a certain amount of damage, instead of after the death of BGB. Be careful of where and when it spawns!
    4. The Boss is now able to spawn a number of summons.
    5. Naturally spawning monsters in the map are all removed, footholds on the stanchion are removed, and all enemies in the fight will have no touch damage.
    6. Some attacks and effects are not the same as before.
    7. Several enemies have had their elemental weaknesses changed.
    8. Final drops only appear after BGA, BGB, and The Boss have all been killed.
    In addition to reworking The Boss, the entire drop pool has also received a significant droprate increase, including fresh rewards like:
    1. Raccoon Mask
    2. White Raccoon Mask
    3. Sky Ski
    4. Stonetooth Sword
    5. Brown Work Gloves
    6. Grey Work Gloves
    7. Yellow Adventurer Cape
    8. Brown Adventurer Cape
    The Boss can now drop up to 2 Mysterious Coin Pouch 3's as well, with an overall increased drop rate

    Additionally, the Big Boss Flashlight is now available to be exchanged for:
    1. Power Elixir
    2. Red Cider (+34 Weapon Attack)
    3. Yellow Cider (+35 Magic Attack)
