Another year has gone by on maplelegends, and pasta has survived yet another year. This thread is to commemorate the dedication of our guild members and showcase what we have accomplished this past year.

This year I accomplished various gear upgrades including 25 attack bwg, 18 attack facestomper, 69 stat auf helmet, 66 stat timeless pendant at the cost of downgrading 22 attack PAC into 18 attack PGC.


My goal for 2025 is to scroll a 20+ attack cape

My message to the community is as follows:

Balance changes are usually going to hurt your gameplay, but the players that end up ahead are the ones that keep an open mind so they can adapt to and discover new strategies.

What did you achieve this year in maplelegends:

Night Lord Progression:
This project has finally come to an end. Started back in 2022 out of spite in a thread where people were against nerfing Night Lords, as an act of protest, I decided to become the problem itself.

1500+ Zakum solos later, I finished my multi-year, multi-NL project by having my last Night Lord cross the level 175 threshold.

I didn’t need to keep going with the daily Zakum runs as I could have finished out the Night Lord arc purely through individual Horntail runs, but I grew fond of the interactions I would have with new players when selling Zakum helm service, continued below.

What had originally started as a means to generate eye of fires, through this service, I had the joy of interacting with many new players. My age old question - “What new players?” was finally answered this year. Engaging with players so new to the server - especially those with wide and inquisitive eyes - made me feel a bit nostalgic. It’s been long since I’ve seen this game with wonderment like these newbies. Honestly, I barely remember how I got my first Zakum helmet as it’s been so long (probably thanks to the GOAT, Abby), but it made me happy to see the joy, anxiety, and relief these players expressed having gone through 20 minutes of what is casual content for me, absolute terror and thrill in theirs.

I started taking screenshots of our post-run interactions because some people would pose and proudly show off their shiny new helmet, and it sort of became a post-run tradition to keep track of IGNs as a sort of compilation of buyers. I’d always hoped to see these names pop up again down the road, as it makes me immensely happy to see players grow from their newbie days to carving out their own path in this game. Shoutouts to Hardflip for being one of the first buyers in my early days!

Old Bishop Progression - 1600 TMA reached

This was one of my goals for 2024 in the 2023 Pasta recap. Through a series of upgrades, I was able to finally achieve 1600 TMA on giovv. It took a few upgrades here and there.



Horntail Solo:
My magnum opus during my time here on Legends. Honestly I didn’t ever think this was possible when I had originally started my multi-NL journey, but over time, it slowly transitioned from a joke amongst friends, to a speculation of possibility, to a mission. On May 17, 2024, I managed the first fully solo Horntail run on Maple Legends. It wasn’t pretty, it was extremely inefficient, and it was fully on gelt provided from the Christmas event, but god damn it we did it!

New Bishop Progression:
With the solo Horntail arc out of the way, I felt a little empty. What next?
When in doubt, make more infra, so I did. This time, with a bit of beginner mage flair.

Message to the community

Despite what many people believe, Pasta isn’t some toxic elitist group of players who are trying to push for an agenda to maintain some hierarchy or status quo. We’re just a group of nerds who like to push boundaries and encourage others to find enjoyment in such pursuits. As this server continues to age, so does its players, and finding spare time to play becomes a bigger ask. I hope that we as members of Pasta can continue to hold true the spirit of the chase and never forget that this is all in good fun. Cheers to the great times we had in 2024, and to the many more we’ll have in 2025.

This was an active year. I built up significant farming infrastructure as well as attackers. I produced a 151 Timeless Engaw and achieved 50 cape-glove-shoe.

This year, I will be developing my other attackers a little bit, but I will proceed with my primary goal: build the server’s strongest BM. This coming year I’ll be looking for marginal att upgrades but primarily I will be pushing stat gear.

There are a lot of things you can do in the game, and your friends will all be pushing in different directions. Pick the ones you are passionate about: in or out of ML.

This year marks the year of my return to MapleLegends. Returning in late April (where I left off from 2022 at Lv 197), I came back due to unfinished business with my bishop. Initially I wanted to reach Lv 200 and officially quit, but that wasn’t the case.

Pre-Anniversary


MW20+Echo+HTB


The first thing that came to mind was to revisit some old buddies to HT with, and to my surprise some of them were still active. The squad would usually consist of myself and

This would continue and eventually I was able to upgrade some gears along with some future projects.





Then I proceeded to carry on grinding 5-6F between 10-14 hours a day while leeching my BM



And eventually reaching Lv 200 by healing a damaged character in the Free Market







MW30+Echo+Elixir

Anniversary Event 2024
This event was the defining moment of my decision to carry on progressing to greater lengths and expanding my infrastructure. Throughout the Anniversary Event, I was doing Demon King Tower on multiple characters




This has allowed me to obtain a total of 175 AP Resets on 8 characters. From there I was able to wash out the INTs of my Bowmaster, Buccaneer, and 2nd Night Lord. All that was needed for me was to grind those characters to Lv 175 to do end game content such as Pink Bean and Auf Heben.

Pre-Summer
As someone who overthinks on goals, I later decided that it was best to pursue my end game goals on my Bishop rather than my attackers as I believe the Bishop class is where I truly belong. I have been a main Bishop across multiple servers and gaining the knowledge from other servers as well as MapleLegends truly made me shine as a Support Role. With that being said, I have decided to try and join some Auf Heben runs as I believe that is a boss I find most interesting. I remember dying frequently when Auf Heben first released in 2022 and eventually became better everyday. However, since returning I felt like I’ve somewhat lost the performance I once had.



Looking back at this, it was time to join some Auf Heben runs hosted by Linny. Eventually I grew better and better based on performance and was ready to upgrade my Auf Heben Circlet.



Temporarily I was satisfied with this helm so I decided to keep it until I was ready to upgrade.

I also shifted from 30 man Pink Bean runs to 18-20 man Pink Bean runs on my Bishop. I felt in awe because I grew quite quickly since returning to MapleLegends in April and going into 18-20 man as a single client Bishop in July.

Summer Event 2024
This summer event was rather dull for me as the server was going through DDoS for possibly 20 hours a day. Even though DDoS were occurring, I was somewhat motivated to continue with the event and eventually was able to clear “some” characters.




Pasta
Towards the end of the Summer Event, I applied for Pasta and was successful in my application. This has motivated me to try and set more goals and progress towards those goals.

Since joining Pasta, I have accomplished a record 10 Boom Scroll Champion in scrolling my Auf Heben Circlet, Halfway through perfecting my Elemental Wand 6, and growing better in terms of infrastructure. Along the way I have a better understanding of the guild and I hope to remain and learn more as I continue to grow as an End Game player.
Goals for 2025
For 2025, I have a number of goals to achieve.

1. Perfecting a 209 TMA Elemental Wand 6.
   
2. Perfecting a 42 TMA Brown Work Glove
   
3. Passing Maple Warrior 30 on ChrisBS
   
4. Reaching Lv 175 on Sensational (2nd Night Lord)
   
5. Acquiring enough NX to reach Lv 155 on ChrisHS (Beginner Washed Bishop)

Although it seems a lot and might be extremely difficult to achieve, I have faith that I will achieve at least 3 of the mentioned goals.

Brought my oldest bishop back to life for degenerate HT duo bishop, geared him up with miscellaneous ints. Slowly gained the confidence, levels, and gears to run 2 bishop HT with 1600 TMA bishops, with 4k hp and 13k.

Most of the year was spent trioing HT with Rahul and EZ. Much coin was made in our hundreds of kills as I continually tried to push bishops to new heights of autism.

What did you achieve this year in maplelegends
I was cleaned 77/3 NT claw, 23bwg, 16 PAC, 7FS for rolling with DEHA, but he retire the game and got his all gears.
In conclusion, gear upgrade to 15/92 NT claw, 18PGA, 15FS.

What did you achieve this year in maplelegends

Looking back at last year's recap, when I had just joined Pasta I had the ambition to finish the monster book and keep up with the quest rankings. This was a large part of the reason why I got into multishad to begin with as I want to do things on my own terms/ my own merit (no buying leech/cards or getting too much help). However completing the monster book this way on a single client not only seemed slow and inefficient, it also just didn't seem fun to me.

As I progressed my multishad setup I slowly got them into bossing. Doing some paprav runs and finding out it is nowhere near worth the time/effort compared to the pretty decent CG leech I was getting from my main shad. Somewhere along the way I let go of keeping up with my mains cards/quests and focussed more and more on the multi aspect, which opened an exciting new way of playing for me.

My first Krex runs were horrible as I was very fed up with CG leech and started bossing despite not having maxed out nate/smoke/bstep... anything really.. So as I was learning and moving up in levels it didn't come without failures as there were quite a few unexpected hurdles.



Initially I expected Krex and Core Blaze to become a staple of my bossing and that bosses like Zakum and Bergamot would be too difficult to manage. Turns out I was completely wrong and the opposite was true.

After toughing it out on a seemingly endless amount of solo Krex runs with a bunch of intdits that didn't even deal half of my mains dpm combined, I was eventually able to power them up enough to the point where I could challenge more and more powerful bosses. And now as I am creeping up on 175 which is the last benchmark for content I am running daily beRgazaknibbga (if irl obligations allow it) with ease. I'm very excited to start on the last set of bosses, the real endgame.




For now I am very pleased this strat worked out as well as it did, it is effective at many different bosses and is extremely low cost/maintenance which I personally value greatly. It was a bit of a gamble as I had never done any serious multiclienting before and was unsure how viable it would be but it far exceeded my expectations.

After all this time it seems I finally found the shadowers niche, the one place it can excel above all others.

New Pink Bean runs are always exciting and I’m grateful to have been part of the first Reset PB clear. Watching many new runners go through this is something special. I’m hopeful they will tough it out through the difficult early runs and turn it into a solid squad.



My greatest upgrade of 2024 has been finishing a ''perfect'' NT dagger. It will be very useful for when my shads reach 175 and I can start taking them on PB runs too.


What are your goals for 2025?

In 2025 I hope to round up the last shortcomings of my shadgang gear and finally get some real upgrades for my main. I'm thinking gloves but it could go any way really.

As for feats I hope to complete an Auf run solo. It might seem impossible and maybe it is, but I thought the same thing about many of the other bosses that I’ve cleared. We'll see..

We have officially entered into the final month of 2024, December, and these are the last few days of this year before we embark on the new journey of 2025. When we look back, it seems the time went by very fast. Throughout the year, we might have made several mistakes, achieved several milestones, walked on some uncovered paths and made a lot of memories. End if the year it’s not the end, it’s the start of something amazing. I hope all of you did well in 2024 !

• Finished my 23 attack glove going 5/55 overall (shoutouts to Hussy for going 1/1 on the final scrolling session)

2025 Goals

I’d like to get my up-and-coming NLs online and start bossing on them + get my bucc to pb levels. I’m still waffling on my next major gear purchase, but considering mw30 and scrolling my own facestompers next (goal TBD).

What did you achieve this year in maplelegends:

• Most of my funds went to glove, but I still made various small gear upgrades for NL + Pally (Ear, Top, Bot, Shoe, Face, Sword, 23 BWG).

• I also bought a few sets of backup gears (face, glove, cape, thief top / bot) in case I duo att / don’t wanna swap gear between chars, never forget the Dwoonie Glove for Dex 70 incident

• Improved infrastructure significantly
  • Hit >26k HP on both BM + NL
  • Re-made early washed bishop, as well as laid infrastructure for some other future chars
  • Lvled Pally + Shad
• Began running PB consistently on NL + BM. Ran a lot of NT / Zakum to level characters (shout out to Drew, Jason and Kevin for being the best duo / trio partners)

What are your goals for 2025?:

• Gear: Upgrade from 14 to either 16, 17 or 19 +5 purple PAC (8 is an ugly number), Obtain 9-10 FS, Auf helm for NL, MAYBE make a perfect TL / NT bow, get a good pair of specs / rac mask.
• Infrastructure: get other PB setups online so I can help in more Pasta runs
• Host Auf / HT for my buddies as they hit lvl / gear range.
• Take time off work and travel since I didn’t in 2024.

Notable of which is a 10 man run that was once thought to be impossible. In 2025, the boundaries might be pushed further with optimizations in new meta advancements such as multi NL/Shad/Bishop.
