    Same, I've spent so much time using 3rd job AOE's instead of an ult when farming things because I thought I was getting a better drop rate. I've asked so many staff members over the years on if I crazy for doing this and either they didn't know, or they wouldn't tell me. This server is very transparent about most things but for some reason this silly drop system is Top Secret, which is especially absurd because it is a very custom feature. Nise's comment suggests it is a holdover from the OdinMS source, which suggests this has been kept secret for over a decade?

    alchemist doesn’t work on NLC pots so it will be useless for ur very hard washed shadower

    Useless for percentage pots yes but I have several bandits and none of them are washed as hard as my main.

    My mildly washed 10k shad begs to differ, I use grilled cheese for HT 1/1s and it'd be poggers to have 1k HP/mp from a grilled cheese.

    I also have a tiny itsy bitsy mana pool at 3.3k and I use sorcs for mp so it'd be awesome if I could use like mana elixirs or something for my main mp pot lol

    If staff do refuse to give info about drop rates, it's really not that hard for players to determine it all for themselves. It took me like 2 days in slime tree to measure the drop rates using a bunch of different NL attacks, can't be bothered to make a mage but if people care enough then surely someone can do it.

    If drop rate is just a co-efficient that applies to all drops, then we can easily measure using the number of etc drop per x kills, and doesn’t need 2 days. Months to years just for this to be in place.
    For equip and gacha drops only? Or 50% even for etc and meso drops.

    I’m thinking somewhere like diminished rolls the more a skill hits. Or a modifier for the skill the mob is mostly damaged by.

    Each possible item drop has its own roll every time a mob is killed, or could be a limited roll per skill cast, we will never know.

    actually too lazy to measure etc and meso drops but for my dks i estimate from barbs/gach which went up from ~60 to ~120

    I don't mean to stir the pot, but these NL nerfs only look "fine" if you're very funded. They hurt the average nl and anybody that disagrees is well, funded.

    Not much to elaborate on. You give the same budget to every class and NLs are not op. However this particular alchemist nerf changed the fundamentals of the actual skill. Complaining goes nowhere but I'm just stating my opinion.

    They already changed the fundamentals when they nerfed it from vanilla. This latest change is practically a complete removal of the skill.

    I beg to differ. cfa30 is 9m rn. Let's not even talk about claw prices.
    It doesn't make sense to nerf a class just because it's more popular.

    It doesn't matter to endgame players. If u ws10 claws still give u the best bang for your buck, Cfa30 cost is negligible. It is just disappointing that staff's perspective of balancing NL is to increase costs, which disproportionately affect non-endgame playerbase, instead of directly addressing areas of inbalance.
